Rumor is he's transferring out of AL Hs to a IMG in Florida. Grades seem to be the driving cause.

Would love to see those Mississippi academic standards gives a leg up with him.

Questions

1. Does he have a car to drive there?

2. Are his parents going? Do they have a job there yet?

3. How good are IMG's "academics"?

From June:
Scabrough said he believes he can get a better education at Tuscaloosa County, a rival school in Northport that sits less than eight miles away from Northridge.

June 12, 2013

Today IMG Academy announced it will field a high school football team for the 2013-2014 school year. Current IMG Academy Director of Football, and former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback, Chris Weinke, will serve as the team’s head coach and will be flanked by a staff of position-specific coaches with collegiate and NFL coaching and playing experience.

4. How's the Heppin' Business in FL?

Some talk on Bama boards that he's going to end up losing his spot there since he's outgrowing the RB spot, which could, of course, just be spin.

They are a bit worried that they are going to lose him to Florida...

Some say Bama isn't as interested because he doesn't translate to a true position. I don't know why they think Florida is going to take the kid if his grades are bad. They told Elijah Daniels last year "no thanks" because of his grades. Omari Philips, Justin Thornton too. I have a hard time believing UF would be a threat if he was a hopeless cause.

We need to still be recruiting the hell out of him and hope grades work out for us, that's for sure. Kid is a Dixon clone sizewise(a bit higher rated even, I believe) -- and we were his first offer, and he showed high interest in us before the Bama offer came along. If he keeps his speed, I'm perfectly fine with playing him at RB at 240 or converting him to any number of other positions...

Saban just has SUCH high standards for the "prototype" he recruits at certain positions. He won't go after a 5* if they don't fit his prototypes...
