Consider this proposal: Someone posts a message that you disagree with. In turn, you calmly state your opposition and why; without calling him stupid, a jerk, a hygiene product, or something worse.

When you support your position with insults, you're weakening your own argument and strengthening the other guy's. Plus, it gets real old -- scanning through all the silly posts in order to get to something intelligent.

Yes, I've responded strongly to people who disagreed with me, but I don't recall calling them stupid. If I have, and there's one guy who actually researches old posts, I'll do better in the future.
