Saw another article that said Dylan got +$300 million. If Stevie Nicks got 100,000,000 just imagine what Dylan got.
Commercial jingles, movie and TV soundtracks... they'll part it out like an old car and make a ton in royalties for years to come.I can't understand how it could be worth millions and millions, hell we have all heard his music for 50+ years now. I saw where Stevie Nicks did the same. I guess Landslide will now be a jingle for commercials.
His song writing was his genius and a lot of entertainers used his material to sell millions of records. I hated his voice but some of his songs were brilliant when other sang them.
His legacy should be as a song writer.
See I think he sounds fine here. No he isn't the best singer but it matches the tone perfectly.
Best there ever was for someone who spanned many generations. I bought my first album in 1956. Johnny Cash's first album. I have about every one he ever recorded over the next almost 50 yearsI enjoy Johnny Cash singing pretty much anything
I love Bob Dylan but the time I saw him live was possibly the worst concert I've ever been to.
I first saw Johnny Cash in concert in 1958, then 1967, 1969 and finally 1975. My favorite sound was in 1958 when he had himself, a lead guitar and stand up bass. Luther Perkins was his guitarist and he made the Sound of Johnny Cash. He died in a house fire after falling asleep smoking a cigarette.jealous man. I'm a youngin. He died when I was in college. That is when I started getting in to him.
I've said this many times and still bring it up with my mom. She was born in 1952. Imagine all of the acts she could have seen in her time. The only concerts she has been to are America, The Osmonds, and The Beach Boys (without Brian Wilson)

My favorite song of his is Jimi Hendrix doing like a rolling stone, also love his version of all along the watchtower. His song writing was his genius and a lot of entertainers used his material to sell millions of records. I hated his voice but some of his songs were brilliant when other sang them.

Why did he do it? Hmmmm...
Yeah, Bob might be 75+ years old...but hookers and blow didn’t get any cheaper as he got older.
So yeah, ima go with hookers & blow as my final answer.
