Notre Dame = coaching graveyard. I would stay at Oklahoma, continue to throw out NFL prospects every year and have a chance to win the 2nd best conference every year. He's making plenty of money at OU.

He has the experience. He seems uncomfortable around the redneck yahoo fanbase that is Bammer. He's from the Midwest, and apparently is a good Cat'Lick boy. Bammer doesn't have a buyout clause. Saban seems to be the only one who could control the ND Subway alums. Saban could probably whip Pete Carroll and USC's ***.

do so prematurely.

I'm telling you, as a ND fan, they can still be a NC contender with the right coach. ND has the resources to compete with anyone. They still attract a lot of talent, even with not-so-great recruiters running the show. They have a massive, nationwide fanbase with tons of money. It's all there, just need the right guy. Personally, if it isn't Urban, I hope they go after Brian Kelly.

Hell, don't OM and MSU get more from TV contracts than ND does now? And the academics thing, plus not being in a conference and a poorly talented geographical region. They can get stars, but you can't build an OL and DL with depth from guys that will get into Notre Dame, and all want to play there.

i would guess ND has more t.v. revenue. They used to allow 5 academic exceptions in Holtz's day. They need to re-institute that.
