apparently he has pissed of enough people by refusing to say "Kentucky" over the weekend that ESPN will probably feel pressured enough to let him go. ESPN always fires its employees when they receive enough negative feedback. Knight referred to Kentucky as "that team in the SEC" the whole weekend. I guess Dan can't work at ESPN either.

Knight was doing that to a b-ball "blue blood"...Mullen only does it to the U of Mississippi.

I love Knight, and I always have.

I also love people that don't worship the ground that UK basketball walks on, and people that despise John Calipari, and continually call him out for his crap. I'm glad Stansbury is no longer our coach, but I will miss him calling out Cal every chance he gets

Another relationship headed south for bobby K. .....Didn't see that one coming. I always thought it was kinda funny that he wouldn't ackowledge UK....but thought it was creepy that he wouldn't sayanthony davis' name. Knight's just a sketchy guy all the way around.

Beginner level, sports related:<div>1. Keep in mind, the UK fan's default sport is basketball. Yours is probably football. Keep this in mind for fun conversation crashers like:</div><div>they mention "last year's game against UT"</div><div>you mention "yeah, you guys were WAY overdue for a win against them"</div><div>they mention "that awesome comeback against LSU"</div><div>you mention "too bad they rushed the field before the game was over"</div><div>and so on, and so on.</div><div>2. Mention that it's great how Eddie Sutton got a chance to redeem himself at Oklahoma State and/or what a great job Pitino is doing at Louisville (I accidentally stumbled on this one at work)</div><div>3. Talk about how cool it is that so many schools so close to each other are in the Sweet 16. Then go for the throat: You midwesterners sure take your hoops seriously.</div><div>4. Compliment them on their current undefeated season, and sweep of South Carolina. See if they can figure out what sport you're talking about.</div><div>5. Wear a UC hat to a sketchy "sports" bar in Northern Kentucky, where you will possibly be told to "take that ghetto **** back across the river." Actually, I do NOT recommend anyone try this. At all. Ever.</div><div>6. Kige. Kige? Kige.</div><div><div>7. Mention how much you enjoy Bobby Knight's insight as an announcer.</div><div>*advanced Bobby Knight trolling: a hippie family member (who is the LAST person on earth I would take for a Bob Knight fan) took this to the next level at my wedding at a table full of my UK fans-in-laws during a casual sports discussion by saying Knight was the best college coach ever and the 1975 IU team was the greatest sports team they'd ever seen. Then threw in an anecdote about how 'too bad crass old UK tried to derail the season by starting a fight during their game that year'. Awesomely awkward.</div></div><div>
</div><div>Mid level, non-sports related:</div><div>8. Upon finding out someone is from Kentucky (will probably only work if they're from a small town), tell them about the time you went to Louisville and had an AWESOME time. This is the equivalent of telling someone from east TN how great you think Memphis is.</div><div>9. Tell them that Jack Daniels is your favorite bourbon (be prepared to run and/or fight).</div>

tell them you are reading "The Last Great Game: Duke vs UK" and that it's such a great book you'd be happy to let them borrow it....they do not like the thought of reliving that moment.</p>
