Just checked covers.com and there are spreads anywhere from MSU +2.5 to MSU -1.5. That amount of difference seems very unusual to me.

This is telling me something. The big boys pounded state when the lines first came out and now we are favored. Also this line is begging folks to take H-Town ML. If i was betting this game it would be MSU ML or nothing. I expect this line to jump around till kick off. The gosh damn o/u is 70!!! Have we evere been in a game with such a high o/u

I have bet against State many times, but not (necessarily) to win money--sometimes I'll bet against State to make me feel better about a loss. If State wins and I lose the bet, I'll feel like I 'bought' the win. Won $500 with (ML -210), but of course I would have been much happier to lose the bet. For the opposite reason, a few times I have picked UM to win. If they lose, I won't mind losing the bet. But again, I've only done that a few times. This week I'm picking Bama -6.5.
