There is nothing about that schedule that screams NC contender. Every BCS school in the country should have 2 losses before they are considered. Of course they are the media darlings.

And I might even put them ahead of a 2-loss SEC team,or a 1-loss team from another BCS conference for a spot in the title game. If they have 1 loss no way in hell they deserve a BCS bowl.

mixed with a woe is me routine. They think the SEC is overrated and they are going to beat Georgia's axx...."we beat Va Tech last year on their home turf thing." Our football team was perfection except for two quarters against Nevada(yep nevada). Woe is me as in "we'll play anyone but everyone is scared to play us."

Personally, they have tobe in a viable conference (pac-10)with at least 6 tough games a year to be considered. Beat USC, Oregon, Cal, UCLA, and Arizona State in consecutive week and you will have my respect. Give us this schedule and I would expect to win every one of them.....with UGA and TCU being a toss up.

boise fans didn't get that attitude along though, there were plenty of people attacking them that got them on the defensive.<div>
</div><div>as for the viable conference, if boise was turning down conferences to remain in the mwc (or wac) then i'd say they were pussies, but they'd give their right arm for a pac 12 invite. it's not as simple as boise joining a good conference, there has to be an offer on the table. i'm not gonna blame boise because the pac 12 won't offer them. </div><div>
</div><div>i'll go ahead and let yall in on a secret though, boise is gonna whip uga's ***. uga is the media darling and is a bit overrated and their OL and RB situations are pretty weak with offseason losses, and they don't have aj green anymore.</div>

In the Sugar Bowl and Georgia murdered them. Before hand everyone loved Hawaii and they were media darlings then they got destroyed and went away never to be heard from again. Until Boise State plays and then gets killed by an SEC team, ESPN will always keep that storyline alive. Props to their AD for scheduling the Georgia game, its a brilliant move. They have a good shot at beating Georgia and then being able to they beat an SEC team, which is what all of the pro-Boise talking heads will echo.

No one respected Florida State when Bowden got there. They were a bottom feeder. Bowden scheduled toptier teams over and over without any return game to Tallahasee. When he started kickingmultiple top teams, people started looking.

Sorry but scheduling one #19out of conference team, ain't goingto dowhat they want.

I know lots of AQ schools have easy schedules, butthey're still not cup-cake after cup-cake;they're filled with mediocre teams. BasicallyBoiseonly hase to beat what is most likely a middle tier SEC school andthen TCU, and they'll get into a BCS game.In some ways that's ridiculous, but overall, I think that's fair. However,Boise shouldn't even be mentioned as a candidate for the national championship game unitlevery SEC school has two losses.

If they want to go to the championship game, they need tomake sure at least 4 of their opponents are good teams.</p>

Beating one team doesn't make a season. They play a pathetic schedule with maybe 2 real teams and expect to be in the National Championship discussion every year. I think people want to take up for them because they don't like the BCS. I don't like it either but it is the system in place.<div>
</div><div>Let me ask you a question, what would State's record have been with Boise's schedule last year, or with this year's schedule. If we played their schedule we'd be at the worst 10-2 every year.</div>

And that's the only example of an non-AQ team losing a BCS game to an AQ team.

2 match up together, so one of them's bound to win. Boise played a very mediocre Oklahoma team and Utah played a Pitt team that would have gone 3-5 at best in the SEC. I do think Boise's going to see a very different UGA team than Hawaii saw (or Boise saw when they came down to Athens a few years ago and got blown the 17 out 48-13). It should be a good game, and I've got Boise winning it.

Utah beat Bama's ads after Bans had gone undefeated during the regular season and lost in the SECCG? And don't give me that garbage about Bans was upset they weren't playing in the national championship game or some crap like that. If you want to be considered a great team in a great conference you show up for every game - especially the bowl game which should showcase the conference.

I was actually one of the few who called the Utah win over Bama. They had a hell of a team, and Boise and TCU have had good teams lately too.

And don't give me that garbage about Bans was upset they weren't playing in the national championship game or some crap like that. If you want to be considered a great team in a great conference you show up for every game - especially the bowl game which should showcase the conference.
Agree with this. You sure as hell didn't see Florida sulking around to a BCS bowl loss the next year. They beat the **** out of a very highly ranked (overranked) Cincinnati team.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here. I've wondered allsummer about the hypeconcerning UGA. How is a team that lost AJ Green, the 6'8" white WR, their top 2 RB's and 3 starting O lineman even ranked in the preseason considering the year they had last year? Hell, even Crxxm beat UCF in a bowl game!! UGA is one injury away from a LB lining up at RB. True, we may go to UGA and just get the ever living **** kicked out of us but on paper I don't see it. I think they're being hyped so thatWHEN Boise beats them,Boise automatically punches their ticket for the championship game. Lets hope it happens and they get to meet a REAL SEC team then they can go play Hawaii in a bowl like they should bedoing already.

Cincy is in the Big East which gets an automatic bid. Utah, TCU, and Boise could be every bit as good as any SEC team and not get to go. We need a playoff. You can't tell me for a fact that Auburn was better than TCU last year. They probably were but we'll never know for sure. Lots of people thought Wisconsin would beat TCU last year.
