Just a thought, but after looking at the most recent poll with Boise jumping to No. 5, how possible is it that they'd get to play for the national title if they win out?

I would guess that the polls will take any opportunity to jump a 1 loss BCS team ahead of them later in the year depending on which teams step up.

However, if they polls follow suit and Boise goes undefeated, the worst they could do is be behind 2 undefeated teams. Only one of the three SEC teams can go undefeated. If all 3 lose at some point, or if Texas loses, they could potentially jump into the Top 2.

Just a thought. There has been a ton of shake up in the Top 10 already, and it's really early in the season, which leaves a team like Boise a good opportunity to move up if they just keep beating the WAC teams they face.

I do think that Boise will run the table on the rest of their schedule, but I think the BCS rankings are not going to be kind to them mainly due to their strength of schedule.

That being said I would love to see Boise making it to the Championship game.

Oregon's demolishing of Cal helps. If Oregon wins or even finishes third in the Pac 10, that will help a lot.

Florida, LSU, Alabama - at least two of those teams have to lose before the end of the season.
Texas will get some competition.

I read an article that basically said this:

If Boise State wins out, and Oregon?fresno State finish no worse than 6-6, they are in with a Texas loss.

it makes me wonder if Boise were to win out, and say Florida does too, but then you have a one loss Bama...would Boise be playing for the NC? I may be letting my SEC snobbery show, but I honestly believe Bama is better than Boise. It would make a strong argument in favor of doing away with the BCS and going with a playoff system, because I guarantee you Boise wouldn't make it through that...

if it's ever going to happen. I usually hate Boise and other "BCS buster" teams, but after Florida, Bama, and maybe Texas, I don't think there are any other great teams. I watched USC play Washington State and USC looked horrible. I hope Boise gets to play Florida and Florida beats them 70-0 and then we don't have to hear about them anymore.

If Texas loses and Boise is sitting at 3, I wonder if there would be some talk about a Bama-Florida rematch if it came to that? Similar to UF-FSU although that's pre-BCS and I can't really remember the circumstances?</p>

I know the pinhead OSU corch voted for Florida over Michigan and let the Gatas play for the BSBCS championship. But there was a huge argument from the Northeast media to allow Michigan for the title. I can guaran-damn-tee you those same talking heads won't be pushing for a Alabama Florida Title game.
