The NBA officially announced the 66 players that have been invited to the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. Duke's Marques Bolden and Javin DeLaurier were not among the 66 players invited and have until May 29 to decide whether to stay in the NBA Draft or potentially return to Duke University for the 2019-2020 season.

Who is this Zion of whom you speak?

Seriously, I feel bad for Marques. A good kid who just hasn't developed like everyone expected. I still hope the light goes on for him.

Not sure this is true. Both have intangibles that could’ve intrigued at the combine. The statement that they didn’t even expect to be invited is revisionist.

At this point, it’d probably behoove them to return, play well and get invited to Portsmouth.

How does Trey Mourning, who apparently averaged about 6 pts. and fewer than 4 rebounds a game, get invited and Bolden doesn't? Answer of course, is his name. Again, I feel bad for Bolden.

Exactly. And that’s just the G League Combine.

I’d fully expect both to come back this season. The 66 guys invited aren’t all even guaranteed to be drafted. At least 7 of them won’t (Hachimura declined to participate). Plus you have Euro players and others who weren’t invited but have a shot at a draft spot.

I’d expect to see them both back whether they were invited or not.

Graduation is this weekend. If Bolden and Delaurier are not graduating, I still think they should come back for their senior year. Barring injury, they can only get better, improve their chances for the NBA or G-League and graduate with a Duke degree. The latter is a Big Deal if your pro basketball career is limited or non existent. Coach K has shown an affinity for Duke players who stay the course and graduate especially in the coaching profession which they might want to pursue. Come back guys !

If I were the Hornets I would either draft luke maye or sign him as a free agent. He's a local boy and Charlotte is full of cheater u fans . He will put fanny's in the seats whether or not he sees a minute of action for the entire season. Who cares if he plays or not. OFC

Didn’t the Portsmouth Invitational already occur? Not sure on the invitees / results but I assume that if Q or Jav participated we would have heard something of it... Or maybe I’m crazy and it hasn’t happened yet? Ha, I don’t know for sure.

I can agree that both guys possess some solid NBA intangibles, but I think they both have a couple glaringly terrible things that play into it as well. Q’s string of injuries are an eye-sore to scouts, I know that’s out of his control but it’s the unfortunate truth. Along with his questionable motor. Other than a couple late games this year, Jav has showcased himself as pretty inept offensively. He could land a spot on a roster as a D and/or Reb specialist but right now he’s so foul prone due to lack of discipline (IMO)

Portsmouth is senior invite only. It’s already happened in April. That’s why I was saying their best (and seemingly only) bet is to have productive seasons at the most high profile school in college and then show out in Portsmouth next season.

That’s right. I was thinking that upcoming seniors played in it too, good call.

One of THE BEST QB/RECEIVER COMBOS IN THE ACC! I was in 4th grade when they started tearing up the league. I got hooked and dad started getting us tix when I was in jr high, so I saw a lot of the Mike McGee years in person! OFC
In the same fraternity at Duke with them. Fun guys. Great Players. Have seen and talked to Leo very recently but not Wes.

Having been at Duke during the Mike McGee years, with the exception of 1/2 of the 1971 season, there wasn't a whole lot to see. I missed Hart2Chesson.

Please no. As a hornets fan I truly want Jordan to sale the team to a real owner who knows how to pick personel. Mitch is good in the front office but outside of Kimba( who might bounce) the rest of the team is true role players.

Both are still gathering feedback. They have until May 29 to make a final decision....so I'd guess it's closer to that date. Might be a couple weeks yet, unfortunately.

Darn. I don't have the link but just read on DBR that Javin has signed with Durrant Sports Management. Suppose under the rules he could still come back, but this does not look good. It's on Gary Durran's Instagram. Good luck if this is true to Javin and now we REALLY need Bolden back.

How can he still come back if he signed with an agent?
