Curious. Maybe he can find out more with an agent about overseas? Seems like he's leaning towards leaving.

Javin has indeed signed with an agent. I understand you can sign with an agent and still return to school, but it seems like he has signed with an agent late in the process, which makes me think he is leaning more toward leaving than staying.

I think we need to plan on neither coming back. They don’t want to play for Duke anymore. Why should 2 guys who combined to struggle to average double figures even consider going pro?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I just think they’re both wanting to start a new chapter in their lives.

Huh? Dude, it’s a no-brainer to go and get evaluated to set yourself up for maximal improvement going into your last year of collegiate ball.

Agree with what you’re saying. I just don’t think that’s what these 2 are doing here though. Hope I’m wrong. We will find out soon.

I love Javin man, but I don’t ever see him landing on an NBA team. Like ever. Dude has absolutely no jump shot and has trouble finishing at the rim in college. I wish him the best in whatever he does, but I don’t see he NBA in his future

I cannot break out a shot chart, but Lance did begin to hit a 12-15 ft shot on occasion his senior year. I dont see that same dynamic in Jav.... OFC

At the beginning of the season both Javin and Bolden were noted by scouts at pro day for having decent shots they had not seen during games.

It might just be a change for them but I really thought Javin would gather all info and return to shine. I haven’t heard anything on Bolden.

He rarely, if ever did. In fact IIRC there were a couple of situations in the NCAA run to the title where he completely missed the rim on a jumper and big Z cleaned it up on the rebound.

Does anyone remember that one game senior Lance had like 30 points? He looked like LeBron. And then the next game, he went back to being Lance.

My most fond memory of Lance Thomas was at Little John when Duke got whipped and he was cussing out the team saying,” this is not how we play especially not in a Duke Jersey!”

Outside of that I remember his jumper but it wasn’t automatic.

Well put it this way: His "rarely" was more often than Javin's makes. JD wouldnt even look at the hoop from over 3-4 ft out.... OFC

If we lose both we're one injury away from being a bubble NIT team.

I can assume this is a joke, right?

Neither Javin nor Marques have made any indication their mind is made up. I’d be pretty shocked if at least one of them isn’t back. In fact, I kind of lean to both returning. But I’ve also been drinking a little today.

I was half joking, but considering Javin just hired an agent (I know he can still come back) and Bolden was the one most thought was leaving this scenario is not as far fetched as it seemed a few weeks ago. I really hope this isn't the case.

Not far fetched, but I do see us getting better overall rebounding from some perimeter people we havent had in past. For instance, I think guys like Stanley and Moore can be pleasant surprises on boards.

Dont get me wrong I understand all the WORRY about losing Jav/Ques on boards and inside rim protection. Just an observation, OFC
