Got to be excited for Porters HC George Czart going up against his Alma Mater. Lockport is starting to play good football.I think the Raiders win this game, but I think the Porters will make a game of it. IIRC when Coach Czart was at LW North his first time Phoenix faced the 'Brook..it wasn't pretty.....

In that LWN game Jamel Martin had one of the best runs I've ever seen, but when it's against an outmatched team it doesn't count.
7-0 'Brook. Raiders score on an Antonio King kickoff or punt return.
Can't remember if that was the 08 or 09 team, but they did beat East both years. I can't remember if Central was on the schedule, but if they were we beat them as we went 9-0 and 8-1 with the one loss being to Lockport with "The Tank". Some say there may have been an emotional let down after the Curie player collapsed and passed the week before.
Who knows? All I know is the Porter's opened up a can that night and checked us into the Smackdown Hotel

I remember the Lockport drubbing like it was yesterday. Plus when a kid loses his life the circumstances stick with you more than the typical game.

Not that it would have mattered, but Bolingbrook played LWN in 2008, the year LWN opened and they had no seniors in the school.
