Chris Relf will see a lot of playing time this week. Word is that Croom handed down the challenge to him in front of the whole team to be ready to play more than he ever has this weekend. Thats the biggest thing.

Look for some wrinkles you haven't see yet with Relf under center.

Watch for Mitchell and Johnson to get more playing time on defense.

Richards says he is fine but he never really is.

I know this is common knowledge but Elliott will see possibly the most snaps he has seen all year this year. Croom was really pleased with how he ran the ball the other day.

The team still believes they can make a bowl this year. I admire their optimism and wish I had a little but of it.

Nothing to big just the Relf thing from my end.

Croom knows we'll get our *** beat anyways, might as well get him some playing time and experience. Hell, I say we start the scout team so none of the starters get hurt. The end will be the same either way. A bif fat L.

that's still not saying a whole lot.

maybe croom is actually going to try some things. i mean, they say relf has the tools and athleticism, right? if croom tries to run a spread attack against LSU with relf, relf may be staying in baton rouge for a while. in the hospital. wait, who am i kidding? croom won't try any spread attack.

Relf started. I don't see it happening as of now but it very well could happen. Why not against LSU? The guy has nothing to lose and it will only get easier after this this Sat. I think LSU is the most talent deep team we play this year.

what's Relf look like in practice, arm strength, running abilities, etc. My biggest question is where in the hell has he been and why? Has he been having trouble learning the 3ft thick playbook?

Has he played a down at State?

....and there is no reason to be optimistic, but we'll have an open date with the easiest part of our schedule coming up. If we can beat Vandy, we could potentially get on a roll. Chances of that happening, slim, but at least we are fixing to get LSU, Auburn, and G. Tech out of the way.

You've got to be kidding me bonedaddy! Croom is going to put an inexperienced RS freshman into Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night? What happened to the conservative approach that helped us win a game or four last year? I think the guy looks like Jamarcus, but I've seen Relf play. With 95K screaming in his ear and on national television, the guy will be puking in his helmet.

What do you say Coach? Look like a good time to load up on LSU giving 24?

...Relf will not be brought in to run the offense as we know it. See Kodi Burns against us last year. That is what is going to happen, if it happens.

He can't hit the broad side of a barn from what I've seen. Nice arm, though.

hard to believe but Relf has the strongest arm on the team. He isn't the most accurate but he is still not Henig like inaccurate. He is the fastest and the most athletic by far.

The knock on him is that he has trouble reading defenses and doesen't check down very well. I don't see how we could get much worse in these two areas.

He knows the plays but doesn't make ajustments well.

I think he is a step up from Rutland but he isn't savior of our year by any stretch of the imagination.

Not hard to believe at all. And I submit that he would get his six picks in, if put in the same situation as Money Mike last year.

they most likely never will.

If we fire Crooms I wouldn't be out on a limb saying that there would be some internal backlash.

you didn't miss anything. i was not impressed. of course, i think we just ran the ball a few times, and he may have only thrown a couple of passes.

A possibility is that Relf could run the plays that Delmon was going to run. I remember Croom saying we weren't going to use Delmon this year with those plays because he had no practice time. Maybe Relf knows the plays enough to throw in another wrinkle.

than what we are doing now?

I will admit that I don't know how long it takes to install an offense, but I do know that Ole Miss changed their's in about two weeks or so last year. I know Auburn installed much of the spread in about three or four weeks before their bowl last year.

I don't expect us to have an entire offense installed in a week by any stretch of the imagination, but maybe we can put something in that's functional.

LSU will be beating us 28-0 after the first quarter. We have no run defense, and Scott is just the kind of back that we don't do well against. Start Relf, we have nothing to lose in this game.

If Bonedaddy said something correct about this team it would be one time out of 10. This is the same guy that said T. Lee would be starting by the 2nd or 3rd game. I said two months ago that I would be interested in seeing what Relf can do, Bonedaddy's response was something like 'prepare to be disappointed'. Is it just news today that Relf has the strongest arm on the team but his brain is somewhat lacking? I though this was common knowledge. I will say that it is time to get him in the game, he should be able to run over some folks if nothing else. Maybe we are trying not to get Carroll and Lee broken in half against LSU's defense. That is more than likely all there is to having Relf play alot this weekend. Also, if Elliot is getting alot of time, I hope he makes it out of the game alive. We are going to need him the rest of the season bigtime.

1) Would it?

2) He should have been.

3) Again, prepare to be disappointed.

Good try little guy.

1. Yes it would.

2. My point here is that you were wrong about T. Lee starting any game like I told you a while back, and no he should not be starting. If Relf does anything positive at all it should be between him and Carroll with T. Lee moving directly to third string.

3. Like I said before, I am fully prepared to be disappointed.

Just because you sit by a player in class doesn't mean you know ****. I sat by Porkchop in one of my classes and the only thing I learned was that he liked to get up and leave after about 10 minutes.

we heard the same thing about how we better hire Raffo or face that too...and you see how that turned out
