Haven’t read a book since HS. Will soon read “Age Of Reason” by Free-Thinker, Thomas Paine. I’ve always found his ideas to be fascinating. He was a huge influence on the American revolution and most of the founding fathers.

I have read it, but would suggest The Devil In The White City by Erik Larson.

It is a non-fiction piece that reads like a novel. Great stuff, IMO.

If you like fiction....Shantaram. Can't recommend it enough. I read bc Jackson gave to Jordan and Kobe to read during two of their championship seasons.

Besides the stuff on America's first serial killer, all the info on the World's Fair in Chicago was very interesting, especially the part on the Ferris Wheel. It was an engineering marvel and held over 2000 people at once

Would recommend Dune for anyone who’s not read it and enjoys science fiction.

I tried a long time ago and just could not get through it.

Same for Game of Thrones, about half way into book 3 (took me probably two years of part time reading) I just said F it, don't care how many ways you can describe what banners look like, or who is related to who, or who is supporting, or double crossing who, etc. Just wore me the hell out.

Amen to GoT books. Read 3+ and it was just such a slog through almost 1000 pages in each tome, I said to heck with it.

All the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child
All the Mitch Rapp books by Vince Flynn
Psych thrillers: Ruth Ware - The Woman in Cabin 10 and The Turn of the Key are both good
Freakonomics (every edition - interesting reading)
