Is this kid going to play OLB or does he bulk up to a 3-4 DE? Probably a stupid question, looks more like a OLB to me?

some nice offers, wonder how much weight we think we can put on him. I don't think he's a LB/DE hybrid with his vertical

normally to project a guy to OLB/hybrid DE, I like to see explosiveness. Graham's only a 27.6 vertical guy, so either we think a good S&C will transform him, or we're looking to get him bigger

For the past 5-6 years, none of the recruits we thought could turn into good pass rushers have panned out. Hopefully this guy will.

Hybrid DE/OLB sounds a lot like a 4-3 WDE?

:)

people also call that OLB the Elephant - they are the primary pass rusher in the 4 of the 3-4. I think Gifford was the closest to that this year, but I think he would have been better at the other OLB spot or more of a WILL spot

Interesting he only had sophomore highlights posted? Wonder if he has had injuries?

Doesn’t look super explosive, but has good frame and it’s ok if we load up on these projects to see which ones pan out.

Apparently has some academic questions which kept some bigger schools away. But if he can clear those hurdles like Mo Washington did Im all for it.

I certainly hope he ends-up being a stud, but am I the only one who thinks he looked a little clumsy/awkward?

And yes, I realize the film is from his sophomore year, so maybe he’s already gotten used to and grown into his body...

that's what I'm thinking the staff is thinking - that his frame is very projectible (you can't coach length like that) and sometimes the long, gangly guys take a while to grow into their body.

We'll see where Duval gets him after a year.

Yeah his sophomore/junior film isn't that impressive, so hopefully he's improved this year. His stats were pretty good. He's a very good basketball player, so he has to be pretty athletic. Says here he had 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 blocks in a bball game last week:

Would consider this a SOFT commit. The second he gets an Auburn offer , goodbye .

Anyone else notice the size of guys Nebraska is signing this year? DBs 6’2 and above. This guy at 6’6. I think Frost saw what he was going against with these B1G defenses and wants the same here.

I thought so too but then again I am no scout. If coaches think he is good enough than I am on board and say Welcome Home big fella!

Like how we are recruting athletes. These aren't guys that are going to come in and play next year (maybe in 3-4 games) but will be getting molded into what we believe is best suited for them. Sounds pretty obvious but our future relies heavy on 3 things 1) The motivation from the player 2) Duval 3) our staff coaching them right. If all things align, we are going to be the perennial Big 10 West champs year in and year out.
