Up to 17; when is the last time our class was that high?
I believe it was Randy Gregory's class.

We offered him in March, so the offer was made off of his sophomore and junior films.
Good point. It sounds like our chances with Summerall and Mathis are slim to none, so the staff put the full-court press on Graham this week. His first step looks slow to me on film, but he put up really good stats this year and has a great frame for Duval to work with.
Like how we are recruting athletes. These aren't guys that are going to come in and play next year (maybe in 3-4 games) but will be getting molded into what we believe is best suited for them. Sounds pretty obvious but our future relies heavy on 3 things 1) The motivation from the player 2) Duval 3) our staff coaching them right. If all things align, we are going to be the perennial Big 10 West champs year in and year out.
I think that was one of the biggest weaknesses in our defense this year. We don't have an effective edge rusher. Being a Steeler fan, I've seen outside LB's who were primarily pass rushers for many years now-- TJ Watt, Harrison, Woodley, Meriweather, Kevin Greene, Joey Porter, Greg Lloyd. If you don't have a great rusher coming off that one side, the defense just doesn't function as well.people also call that OLB the Elephant - they are the primary pass rusher in the 4 of the 3-4. I think Gifford was the closest to that this year, but I think he would have been better at the other OLB spot or more of a WILL spot
I thought we were looking good with Dru Mathis, what happened with that?
A vertical is one of the easiest things to improve with S&C. He'll get stronger and more explosive with Duval.some nice offers, wonder how much weight we think we can put on him. I don't think he's a LB/DE hybrid with his vertical
