That's the problem with most fans. They don't know that offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. I thought it was a great hard hitting defensive battle. And in the same way, I love baseball games with scores like 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, etc. Means a great pitching performance is usually happening from both teams and that both teams can play small ball when they need to.

I didn't watch.....we turned it over to the alternative halftime show which was at least......in English. (the official language of our country).
I swear to god some of you guys would have been leading the charge in the 80’s against all the satanic rock bands and the evil that was dungeons and dragons
Uh….we had a whole thread where we were begging for an 80’s rock band to do the halftime show, and it looked like drake maye would've fit in at the D&D table.
If Bad Bunny isn’t your thing, that’s fine. It certainly isn’t my cup of tea and I’d rather listen to some old Kid Rock over him any day but running around saying you’re not going to watch the halftime show because it’s not wholesome and then flipping over to watch Kid Rock of all people blows my mind.
I’ll put 10,000 to 1 odds that the next 10 Super Bowls there will be threads where people on here are saying the game sucks, the commercials suck, and/or the halftime show sucks. It’s almost as if TV demographics are tailored to crotchety 60 year olds or something. Maybe next year they can get two teams running the Maryland I formation, some commercials featuring a Dr promoting Pall Malls, and we’ll wheel Chubby Checker’s old àss out there to do The Twist.
One of which being that live vocals tend to be awful with that much movement and running around.
I can think of at least 5 games, college and pros, that came down to the last possessions.
It's as simple as this. Agree with it, or not, that's all that's happening.
NFL knows they have a core group that watches, and they know most of those people are taking a shlt or a food/smoke break at halftime. The halftime show is all about new viewers, and right now, the countries directly adjacent to us are where any future expansion may happen. Thus, a Spanish flair.

I still don't get the half-time show outrage. Just Change. The 17'ing. Channel. It's not hard. Many eons ago, you could hit a kid on the floor and tell them to turn the dial. Now, you can sit in a chair with a fully-loaded set of Depends, Cheetos dust-crusted fingers, and a mouth full of wing parts and tell Alexa, Google, Siri, Jesus, etc., to change the channel for you. Good grief, people.

I started watching, decided I was watching something I just wasn't interested in out of habit and switched over and watched a movie I enjoyed. Here's the "deep" part , I hope everyone who watched the game enjoyed there evening also .
I've always wondered what people in the other American countries think when some dip **** goes off on a non-sensical rant about somebody hating America.
As for the game... I did find it boring for a while. But as it went on I kind of realized I hadn't really seen Seattle play this year and had no idea how insane that defense was. Ended up being pretty entertained by how they made the Patriots look like a JV practice squad.

Bad Bunny has spent years saying the opposite in interviews, lyrics, and public statements- trashing American values, mocking patriotism, pushing every anti American talking point the culture machine loves. Getting back on topic, I feel like the spectacle of the Super Bowl is gone. The game used to feel larger than life and even like watching a film, now it feels dull. I think part of it may be the use of 4k cameras that while make it feel like your on the field, the picture quality is too clear. The meme comparing the Super Bowl to just another Thursday Night NFL football is on point.

It didn’t help it was a boring game but everything else took a bit of step back. Companies just don’t get overly creative with the commercials anymore either. Probably because it costs so much to have 30 seconds they would rather just get the point across about their product. Halftime show was pretty mid too.
