all-time losing records in bowl games. And for you Einsteins that means the other 10 teams don't have losing records in bowl games. Added bonus: The two SEC teams with the most and least bowl games played ( current SEC roster of teams only please so that blows up anybody thinking that it was Tulane or Georgia Tech).

RebelRich & ckDOG win the bonus, Bama 55 bowl games gets top honors (31-21-3) while Vandy pulls up the rear at 3 bowls (1-1-1).

But on the main question, there seems to have been a slight glitch in my statistics, there are 3 SEC teams with losing records.....Arky (11-22-3 although a bunch were loses while they were in the SWC), and SC (4-9) were the top 2.. So who's the other team??

was21... I would go with Vandy on the overall.

I think bowl records can be misleading. For example, Notre Dame always struggles in bowl games because they typically get invited to a better bowl than they deserve simply because of the money draw. On the opposite end of the spectrum, us Mississippi schools will often get a slightly lesser bowl than we deserve and therefore get a somewhat easier draw.

I did find it interesting though that South Carolina's first ever bowl win was in 1995. They were something like 0-7 in bowl games prior to that.

Vandy wins the all-time SPS LOSER Award for 75 years of frustration in the SEC with a 98-333 record (forget the ties)
2nd place to MSU at 141-309, third to Cantuck at 138-304. Newbie SC is a losing 49-78.

Vandy, MSU & KY have beaten all other conference teams (just not enough times) that's more than Arky & SC can say, as Arky has not beaten Florida and SC has not beaten Auburn or Ole Miss, ever as SEC members..

That's all sports fans.

Granted, that is a little bit unfair to Arkansas and South Carolina considering they've each only played 16 seasons in the SEC.

I will say though that I won't be surprised if South Carolina checks us off that list of teams it hasn't beaten since joining the SEC. They get us this year and next. I'll bet they get one of the two at least.

You left out founding member University of the South (Sewanee) coached for 30 years by Shirley Majors.</p>edited to add: They also never won a confernce game while members of the SEC. They beat many SEC members prior to the existance of the SEC
