Rezpup say-

"Bost and Stans were arguing during the game...in each others face in front of the bench during the 2nd half about seven or eight minutes left...it was heated and Turner pulled Bost back down in his seat after the exchange bc Bost was going back to argue some more. I cant believe he got put back in after that. Stans must have had time to think about his pg situation before he did."

Can we get verification? And wonder how many games he will sit?

He could play Randy at the one, but who would play the 2, Phil? He's a questionable ballhandler and passer, and he's a much better option at the 3 or 4 with his athleticism. I guess we will have to wait and see what RS does if anything.

From watchin both games on tv this week, it seemed like during almost every stoppage of play on the court Dee and kodi were really bitching hard at each other. In fact, during one point in the LSU game they wouldn't even look at each other face to face. But then again, it's hard for anyone to look kodi straight in the face without vomiting.

.. it's all about Kodi... Pretty sure Bost is trying to run some type of offensive play and time after time when Kodi gets the ball he just shoots and Stans doesm't say anything to Kodi.......Stans has lost control over his team once again....

Kodi disagrees with Stansbury to the media and many of you call him a piece of **** and say Tex Winter needs to kick him off the team.

Bost openly argues with him during a ballgame in front of 8,000 people- not a peep

Wonder why that is?

Come on Coach. I know you like to stir the **** around here, and have admitted as much, but you know damn well the difference between an argument in the heat of a game and taking calculated shots at the coach in a press conference when you've had time to cool off. Give Bost credit for refusing media interview requests if he was too upset to keep his wits about him; Kodi wasn't so smart about his situation.

kicked off the team- just like I didnt think Kodi's comments needed for him to be...stop trying to say I'm saying something I'm not...

Truth of the matter is, I'm sure Bost was probably justified in what he said, because i'm sure it was about how we need to get a 17'ing offense. But you can't just let this go unpunished if you want to keep order...you know it, and I know it

between disagreeing with your coach on the sidelines and disagreeing with your coach in the media, I can't help you.

And like I said, Bost seems like a team player where as Kodi has pouted his whole career.

of all your double talk and attempts to stir controversy this may be the weakest yet. Please take time to attempt to put together a half-plausible argument. You are getting your rear kicked worse than normal today.

Wall's comments after the Vanderbilt game.

"I didn't think I played that bad. I don't know what to expect.
He's probably going to say I played bad today too so. I don't know. <span style="font-weight: bold;">I
just try not to listen to him</span> and go out and play basketball and try
and help my team win."

You could hear it in Walls voice that he was down. Cal's comments bothered him.</p>

"Yeah, I think it's going to bother any player when he tells you
that...To be honest, I really haven't been having fun for the last two
weeks. It's just being frustrated and things like that so, I just got
to figure it out before we go further in league play."

Frustrated with how your playing, the team is playing, what is going on, is it just a lull in the season ?
</p>

"'Frustrated with everything. I don't know, one through twenty. Any ideas it is."</p>

Suspend/bench Kodi? Glad we have a lot of depth there. I guess we can go to the 4 guard lineup again but that just gives you and coach something else to ***** about.

Suspend /bench Bost? We don't have any depth here either since Twanny is hurt.

That said, I would rather see Osby out there getting more minutes,
especially more than Kodi. The only reason Kodi is out there more and not
Osby is because Kodi is a *****. Osby has similar stats based on equal minutes and a better shooting %.

Seems like every Ole Miss game I watch features AK and some players going back and forth with each other. There is nothing wrong with that as long as it does not become a distraction.

That Bost is more of a team player than Kodi.. I also understand that Stans is in a tough spot with lack of depth at those positions. There does need to be some punishment however... Stans has all but lost control of the team.

And yes, Osby needs to play more. And can someone explain to me why Benock sees the floor before Phil? Benock comes in the game and his only objective is to get the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible.

Don't understand it.

and Bost questioning Stansbury's game strategy to the media.

A good example of not listening would be Bower's quote when he made the winning shot at Bammer when he talked about not doing what Stansbury drew up, but doing what he wanted to do....that's a good example of not listening

I only will say everyday I wish I could go back to April of 2003, and decide not to complain about my email, because then this board wouldn't exist and I would not have to read your words.

wasn't he your favorite player last year during his exile to the bench? Wasn't Stansbury an idiot for sitting him?

With his abysmal performance thus far in SEC play and his apparent unwillingness to play team ball, is it now fair to say that Stansbury was right all along? </p>

I was one that was critical of not playing Kodi last year until Bailey got hurt. His skill set SHOULD allow him to be a 14-17 ppg scorer with 8-10 rpg. His attitude and to some extent, our approach to the game, have him where he is....at about 9 and 6. Part of what prevents him from reaching his potential is that he plays ~22 minutes a game. If he got the minutes that Stewart and Bost get, he would be closer to those numbers. This doesn't mean his defense, shot selection, and effort would improve greatly, but it might mean we could find some more points on a nightly basis, and those few points would have been nice in Tuscaloosa and Fayetteville.. I'd be willing to bet he would be more productive in an additional 8 minutes per game than Benock and Lewis are in their 18 minutes.

There have been games this year where I couldn't wait for Kodi to get to the bench. Another second of him chucking 25 footers and leaving his man open and we would have lost a couple more games. We almost certainly would have lost to Georgia if he played another millisecond.
Until he gets his head right, 23 minutes a game is about right. He does not seem to play well unless he is pissed at Stans about something.

Kodi plays under more of a microscope than any player on the team. Probably the biggest microscope of any basketball player we've had under Rick with the possible exception of Jamont. Your post is a good example of this. You bring up the UGA game, which was not his best obviously. But would we have beaten Houston without his 16 boards? San Diego without his 17 points? The road game at Ole Miss without his 13 and 12? Kodi takes a lot of crap from people on this board and State fans in general but hardly ever gets any credit for the times he plays well.

It's not surprising that you don't like him. Most people don't. I get frustrated with him too, but the fact is he is one of our best options. Some people are just lazy, but the 75% effort they give you is more productive than the 100% someone else gives you. Kodi is in that mix. I guess we can all agree that Kodi playing at 100% all the time would be good for everyone. Well, everyone except Rick and maybe Phil and possibly Renardo, since they would have to rework those 40 minutes up in the Stansbury Substitution Pattern Handbook.

At least not during the game. He actually goes after loose balls as well as anyone. I think he lacks lateral quickness and the ability to concentrate all of the time on defense which makes him suffer there. Then, obviously, he makes tremendously stupid and selfish decisions on offense way too often. I agree with the premise that he is under more of a microscope than any other player, though.

He did as much damage as he did good. At least he wasn't (trying to) guard Fortson.

If that had been his man scoring 30 second half points to beat us instead of Dee/Randy, SPS would have imploded on itself with hatred for Kodi. Dee "just had a bad night."

If one more announcer uses the line of "he's really their best player when he: (gets a good balance of shot selection anecdote)" I am just going to snap.

I think Jimmy Dykes is the only analyst to say that. However, he says it every damn time he does a game of ours. And, for the record, it's "when his mix is right."
