If he doesnt want to play for us then 17 him. We have Deville Smith coming in next year, and I think he could be the best PG to ever put on the Mississippi State jersey.

I don't get how this is on Stans. Bost has started since day one. Ran the offense and got to play pretty much the whole game every game. Stans had him all sec this year. What more doesDee want. If not for Wall he would have been the best PG in the SEC. I'll give Stans if fair share of blame but this is not on him.

When Bost was making plays around the rim and/or hitting 3's, those were our best games of the year. I really believe we went as he went last year (offensively at least).

he had everything AND STILL is leaving...we have no offense except standing around and shooting 3's...they get no real coaching...and he isnt going to waste any more time playing under Stansbury who lets people like Osby transfer out because he doesnt know how to use them

Ridiculous

...is leaving because he doesn't feel like he gets adequate offensive instruction? That doesn't make sense. If it was about the level of coaching, he would just transfer, sit out a year, and then get the coaching somewhere. Then, he would theoretically be more prepared for an NBA career. By not getting drafted and going to Europe, he's not exactly springboarding himself toward NBA stardom. If he really is leaving, it's obviously about money, not coaching.

then it is either because of team chemistry, or because he thinks we should be winning SEC and National championships every season. If under-performance of the team is the issue then that's on Stans. If chemistry is the issue, i still feel like the head coach, has a large role to play.

How does Deville Smith being "the best PG ever to put on the Mississippi State jersey" help us NEXT year? We gonna have Tranny put up 1 assist and 6 turnovers per game in Rick's "motion" offense?

Bost has some problems, great talent but talent alone isn't good enough. Looks like Stans knew what he was doing by signing 2 guards, I hate to see Bost go but the blame isn't on Stans. Btw, if you don't have chemistry you better be as good as the NYY in the 70's, we didn't have chemistry last year and Bost and Ravern were a BIG reason.
Lastly, I don't ever expect to see Dee Bost playing in the NBA, hope he likes the food over seas, he's a fool for not coming back one more year and show some character.

...then his best bet is to go ahead and start making money in Europe. Personally I think he will be in the league one day

It's all just speculation on our part. I just feel that the chance for him make a great deal of money is the major factor.

I have no idea whether he'll be back or not, but I can tell you for certain he is a head case and does nothing to help team chemistry...so if he doesn't want to be here let him go....If he does stay he'll have to address some things...either way we'll be better off.

He was at best #3 this year behind Wall and Downey. Beal probably had a better year too. Strong arguments could be made for Warren, Fortson, and Torrance. Even Reed played well for Auburn. Dee is a solid point guard and was just a sophomore but he was in no way the #2 PG in our league this year. I'll agree with you that Dee has the potential to have a better college career than most of those guys, but for this year, he was what he was - streaky, sometimes spectacular, sometimes below average.

If Bost is a head case then we have a more serious problem at head coach than a thought. You could easily say that every starter we had last year is a head case excluding Jarvis. Barry consistently blew the game when trying to drive and couldn't make a layup. Kodi outwardly questions Stans and gets benched. Then he takes ill advised 3 pointers at ill advised times. Ravern plays NO defense and walks out of practice and gets benched. Tell me exactly what it is you think Dee needs to address because to me he was the most consistent player we had all year. Our wins are his. Stansbury is the one who needs to "address some things."

When will we know something?

I guess if we dont hear anything, it means that Dee has decided to keep his name in the draft.

The players are as frustrated as we are about the lack of offense and coaching therin.

Not real sure Dee is good at the whole reading and writing thing, which would also explain the Steele signing.
