You decide

This article sheds a little more light on the whole situation. I was kind of surprised to read that MSU apparently never really asked for Bost to be reinstated. They just laid out the details of what transpired those three weeks.

Curious what others here think based on this article.

This blog entry is very Veazyesque (compliment). Does this mean 2HD needs to be on the left side of the blog feed?

contradictory to Dee’s stated intent is some of his actions during the
timeframe of this inquiry. Messages sent through social media outlets
and with members of the print media can be seen as contradictory to
someone who is just ‘testing the waters.’”

The MSU coaching staff tried to “reach out to Dee” and make him fully aware of what missing the deadline would entail regarding his college eligibility, but “their efforts were mostly ignored.” Bost said last week, “I just thought I could go through the draft and work out and then still come back.” That used to be the case until an NCAA rule change this year that closed that window and also moved the withdrawal date up several weeks.
_________________________________________________

Bost
left April 27 to begin approximately three weeks of pre-draft training
in Las Vegas. While there, he was visited by head coach Rick Stansbury and assistant coach Robert Kirby on May 8, the deadline withdrawal date. The three met at a Denny’s that morning “in order to ‘clear the air’ about some alleged comments made by Coach Stansbury to NBA officials about Bost and for Stansbury to relay information he had received from Stu Jackson of the NBA.”
_________________________________________________

From the school’s concluding statement: “When
Dee indicates he didn’t ‘communicate’ with the coaching staff the
university believes this as to mean he wasn’t ‘listening’ to the staff,
not that they didn’t try to communicate with Dee during this time
period. While he does appear to contradict himself, sometimes in the
same sentence, these communication difficulties prevent our university
from being able to say that he’s being deceitful.”

These 4 comments are pure gold. That dude is a friggin idiot.

Oh, and Stans is a friggin idiot for not only recruiting him but allowing him to be the floor general. Someone with this sort of decision making should not be running a team on the floor.

But they are both doing it to try to get Bost back on the team which is obviously good for MSU. So I don't care.

The guy has talent and can help us win some games. But he's also not very bright and a poor team leader by all indications last year and that will in turn lose us some games.

Unfortunately he's still far better than the alternatives at the position.

And Rick continues to show that he's simply not much of a CEO and mentoring and developing boys to men is not a strong suit.

Maybe we should just nickname Stans "The Ringmaster" since it's always a circus around our b-ball program

..Bost is back, so accept it & move on.

This basketball team needs Bost & just accept the fact he will be back & move on.

I get it: Bashing players is a favorite pastime of the MSU small penis community.

But leave the Bost & Stansbury bashing to the resident *******, coach34.

Everybody else should be sighing a huge sigh of relief this guy will be back in time for conference play.
