Hey Kyle… I read somewhere that
Dee Bost was upset after Saturday’s game against LSU. He supposedly
threw his jersey right after the game and refused interview requests(?)

Can you share anything about what happened or even if what I read was true?

SlyDawg: That’s apparently true, but I wasn’t there.

so I would imagine that most of the players are beyond frustrated with their recent suckage. A quick glance at the stats shows that Bost played 30 minutes and scored 2 points. I would describe that as reason to be pissed. We did not blow out a team that played 3 walkons....

to "run" a directionless offense - which is what we've appeared to look like recently. That may be part due to him limitations as a PG, or it might be due to the offense not allowing him to actually lead the flow of the half court offense - which is what you would want from a PG. If it's the latter, I could see him getting frustrated.

That, or he just despises Kodi Augustus. He looks like he wants Kodi to die a slow painful death judging by the looks he gives him 4 or 5 times every game.

Kobi has to be a complete dick. I've seen Bost give him a F you look and then turn away from him in mid-sentence with that "you're so full of ********" look a number of times.

Kodi grabbed a rebound and brought it up, and Dee was screaming at him the whole way up the floor. When Kodi inevitably turned it over, I'm surprised Bost didn't strangle him. If looks could kill....

Kodi just shoots whenever. I think that pisses off Dee and a lot of us. Kodi always looks stupid during these exchanges and Dee usually blisters his *** then turns and walks away. However, whenKodi was pretending to beJarvis this past game he at least looked a little better receiving the ball down low, plus he hasdeveloped some nice passing abilities sometimes toRavern mostly to Jarvis, butNEVER to Dee.

Interestingly, Phil and Dee have each appeared to go back and forth with Coach Stans during timeouts. When Coach has to get the obigatory last word they just stare through him. Of course they see some of the same things that we complain about.

As the world turns........... This drama kind of reminds me of Jamont vs Hans vs Delks etc... from year's past.

Get your damn house in order Coach Stans. The only constant in all of these disfunction team situations is Coach Stans.

I was at the game and noticed he wasn't happy at all. Coach Kirby was watching him the entire time with or without the ball. A couple of times he would try andgo get the ball at the top of the key and a couple of guys didn't give the ball up. This happened when we were trying to run out the clock. But the main thing was Kirby watching him the whole game while he was on the floor with or without the ball. Why wouldKirby be doing this?? Is he hurt? Is he getting lazy?

It needs somebody to step up and take charge. I think Dee is that person. Barry and Jarvis are seniors and should be doing it. But, they are too soft-spoken and too nice.

Dee has been a QB and is now a point guard. I know he's only a sophomore and is probably being respectful to the seniors and coaches. He's been here a year and a half. It's time to lead. No one else is going to do it. No one else can.

He needs to let Kodi know the deal. And everybody else on the team. There's no need to get frustrated or out of control. Just be firm and direct. The coaches need to back him.

There's a mental aspect to this game that Stansbury is just clueless about.

Actions speak louder than words.

He's going to have to DO things differently to convince me. I don't care what he says.

but it is interesting to hear people who have met him say he isn't one. Maybe I really was wrong about his support, but he is definitely good at reporting NEGATIVE **** about MSU. And he doesn't seem to get as excited or carried away about reporting positive ****.

But he's a professional, and isn't going to let that affect his work.
For the record, I don't think he gives a damn one way or another about Ole Miss. I know at one time he was on furlough (I think) when State played Ole Miss in Starkville, and he said he didn't even watch it on TV. That sounds to me like he doesn't care to follow them.

1) If you ever spent time at ole miss, it would be easy to understand how you could leave there not a fan.
2) He doesn't get excited about reporting positive things b/c he doesn't care. I think he's made it pretty clear sports isn't really what he wants to cover.
3) He's supposed to report negative and positive things, not be a cheerleader. The problem with titty gate was that he was reporting about stuff on an 18 year olds' facebook pages. That's pretty much tabloid type reporting, but it's hard to get upset when "real"media islosing its *** in part b/c of all theinternet sourcesreporting/talking about crap like that. It's just thatVeazey doesn't get to pretend that what he does is any different than what a reporter for US Weekly does. Sucks for him, but I don't see how you can blame him.Old school media is a dying (orat least severely contracting) industry, and ditchingjournalistic integrity is one of thefewadjustments that clearly can make a difference (even ifultimately a small one).

He was with a large group of what I assume was his family. If I had to guess, I would say that he was just frustrated that he did not have a big game with family in town. No need to make it more than it is. For the record, I did hear him say that Kodi was too slow to guard Tasmin Mitchell.......understatement.

He said something to Bost and Bost let him have it. (Kodi probably deserved whatever was said)

I'm not sure there is all that much love between those two guys. What a shame.

What did Rodney King say? "Why can't we all just get along?"

than the incessant crying about Veazey being an Ole Miss homer. Boo 17ing hoo, he writes articles about negative things that Mississippi State players have done. Know why? Because they did them. It's his job. Every beatwriter does it. Those who don't aren't beatwriters very long. Tuck your vaginas back into your underwear, people.

Kodi is the only player on the court who looks like he's playing his own little game apart from other four sharing his jersey color. He got his butt kissed last year not to leave, and it's made his ball-hogging crappy-shot taking tendencies that much worse. We are a much better team with Phil Turner on the floor.
