Bottom line...and I think we ALL can agree.

If we beat Georgia, Mullen is right on track for building a program. It's a huge game for me. If we lose to Georgia, I no longer support Mullen. It's that simple. This is the make or break game for him. If we lose it, we are MS State and we move on. We can certainly put another coach in his grave. It's what we do.

How about missed tackles?
How about an offensive line that goes MIA often?
Shall I continue?

And you want to blame it solely on special teams? Good Lord.

that most thought that 1-3 was a good possibility and that 2-2 was a really good start. We aren't dead with a 1-3 start, but we will have no room for error the rest of the season.

I live and die with this bunch, but the reality is that we have had losing seasons 8 of 9 years, not because we had better talent or coaching, but because we didn't. Mullen will need all four years to get us on track to having a sustainable program, and there appears to be a lack of leadership on the team after Dixon left. I expext us to sneak into a bowl still this year and be in the 8 win category next year. Yeah, I hate the wait to next year slogan, but after our first two SEC games it is plain to see we are still in a rebuilding mode and have not arrived.

I mean, it's year two. And Georgia is the make or break game for Dan? What?

I agree that he needs to beat a quality team wholeheartedly, but even if he doesn't this year, I'm not going to give up on him. We have made tangible progress as a team, we just lack that marquee win. Odds are it will come sooner than later.

We've had 1 winning season in the last 10 years, and under a 2nd year coach we all expected to come out with wins against either a ranked Auburn team, LSU in Baton Rouge, or Georgia. You can't go running around expecting to be competitive in the SEC overnight when you haven't been for 10 years. Hanging your seasons hopeson beatingthe middle and upper middle tier teams in the SEC is unrealistic, and we aren't there yet. Doesn't happen in the beginning of year 2.

This is a 4 year fix here, and a bunch of you selling out on Mullen are the same ones that said when we hired him it would take 3 years to get things in place. We are a bad team. We don't have talent. Expect us to play like that for a while and get over it. We can still squeeze 6 out of this year, but don't expect it to be pretty except Alcorn and maybe UAB. </p>

...UGA has a mediocre QB, & their defensive secondary is non-existent.

UGA is having a down year, which means they are very beatable if Mullen puts together a solid game plan & gets our team fired up to play.

But I'm beginning to lose faith that Mullen can coach MSU to victory against SEC teams that are equally as ****** as MSU.

how anyone cannot tell the improvement over the teams of a couple of years ago is beyond belief...yes, we are still making poor decisions and not playing as consistent as we would like, but we are much more in tune with what good teams do in way of conditioning, avoiding stupid penalties(for the most part)...we are playing in the hardest conference in the country and have to play top 25 teams practically back to back..ideally we would have been able to start off with more favorable opponents early, but that's not what we have...I can see much better days on the horizon if we don't get into the "woe is me" mentality...

the hc job... we faced what could be one of the best def lines in the country... our qb's threw int after int.. that's fixable..

the total yds were equal and like dog student said, they just out intercepted us... in the most hostile atmosphere in the sec...

could have won the au game but fell short... you are a bad fan if you give up on mullen this early in his hc career due to a uga loss.. they will come into town very pissed off... I will admit though, we should be just as pissed off and at home, we have shown that we are capable of beating THIS uga team... the reason we should win is that we need it, and we have what it takes to actually pull it off.. considering how important the game is, I will be very dissapointed in mullen but no where near in "not supporting" mode...

if we win, I say we go 7-5, if we lose, another 5-7 is looking likely....huge game sat..

UGA is very beatable. ARK got half it's passing yardage on short drag routes across the middle with lots of yac. UGA had no answer for that, and that is something MSU can actually complete. Also, the UGA QB will be good, he still holds the ball to long, not unlike a certain RS freshman at MSU.
