add Fletcher Cox and the D is better but as we feared, we have serious issues at LB. On offense we have skill people running out our ears (Have we EVER been able to say that?) . Line play needs work. The final score is going to be good. It just took longer to get there than it should have against a REALLY awfulMemphis team. I still see us stuggleing to get past 6 wins unless we improve. We did last year and we do have to coaches to do it. I've bitched a lot tonight, mainly from secretly buying into the hype. Still a work in progress, keep Dan and we get there.

we have some real issues at LB, but other than that we have looked pretty good. It's the first game of the year, you have to expect a degree of sloppiness. The score is 52-14 and all 14 points have come from special teams mistakes.

Leave that up to the coaches, which i'm sure they will handle that as all coaches do.<div>

I really expected this to be 42-0 at the half. I just have never got over that Memphis game in 2001, and it's aftermath. Hard to shake old mind sets.

we were fooled into believing that Korey Banks and Demetric Wright were Bean and Smoot. They weren't.

we were also fooled into believing that Nash, Snyder, and Oyefosbi were Dorsett Davis, Alvin Mckinley and Willie blade. They weren't.

There really is no comparison.

and you can point out that many this year too. It's also a FACT that this Memphis team is REALLY bad. That being said we DIDN'T wait till the fourth quarter to win this one. We find out next week. Auburn, while not nearly as good as last year, is light years ahead of Memphis.

Memphis is obviously not good. We got up early and Memphis was playing really bad those first few drives of theirs. So there was no way to really grade the defense. Can't even be sure if we played the planned scheme for this season with a new Defensive Coordinator.

There was a day that we won this game 16-7. There was a day we played to the level of the opponent. I believe with Dan Mullen those days are gone.

and we have a coach who does not believe in that **** now.

However, we have a false sense of security now. We need to stomp on auburns balls as if they were the sex offender next door to our daughter.

And LSU's as if they were the parents who raised auburn.

Even big Cherrington got in at the end. A guy who was picked up a week or so before Fall Camp played. Let that sink in.<div>
</div><div>Sure our LB's could have been a little better but tonight was about getting PT for 2nd and 3rd string.</div><div>

I was thinking a preseason basketball game against the Spirit Express, but your point remains valid.
