....is we were never going to beat Alabama today, and there's no shame in losing to them.
Here is my issue though....
Coming off a bye week, you crap the bed on the opening kickoff and get a penalty on top of it. Then you throw a pick on your first offensive play from scrimmage. Then you don't cover the back out of the backfield on the very next play for a touchdown (we didn't do a very good job of covering the back all game). I gotta ask the question: what the hell are these coaches doing during bye weeks?
Losing to Alabama in and of itself is not a tragic result. But coming out looking unprepared, making silly mistakes, falling ahead early, and not even having a pulse on offense - these things are themes...they happen every week.
It's time for someone who has the best interest of Mississippi State University at heart to step up and fix this. If you're reading this and still think we need to keep this coaching staff, you fall into one of two categories:
1) You don't have the best interest of our university at heart
2) You're not intelligent enough to know the difference.
It was a great day in Starkville and a beautiful day for football, though, so it wasn't all bad. I just wish I had a reason for hope or optimism with this program under this coach.
