With the stadium improvements going on at both State and OM both places are going to be great. My question to y'all is what do y'all think the chances are that either stadium ever becomes a bowl venue?

How many on campus bowl games are there currently? That should give you your answer.

Less than zero. Bowl Games are city-driven, not facility.

The only way an on-campus stadium would host is if is the best alternative in the city hosting the bowl game. I can't think of any cities that host a bowl game where there is not an existing football facility that has not at least been partially financed by the city.

A quick Wikipedia scan reviels that there arent many... But a few

Previously mentioned: Potato Bowl at Bronco Stadium

Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium
New Mexico Bowl at University Stadium (University of New Mexico)
Hawaii Bowl (maybe??) at Aloha Stadium

Maybe there are a couple of more, but I doubt it.

0% troll. However I do think Jackson should be hosting a bowl. No reason we can't, if Shreveport can do it. The New Orleans Bowl, none of those have good attendance, so who cares if it's in the Dome or not. Jackson's perfect for a lower-tier C-USA type bowl.

The Fiesta Bowl was played at Sun Devil Stadium at one time, and Tulane Stadium

was actually on the campus of Tulane, so the Sugar Bowl was on a college campus for years.

Another current one, the Sun Bowl. Sun Bowl Stadium is actually....

on UTEP's campus.

Another defunct one was the Bluebonnet Bowl, which was played at Rice Stadium for a while...

Jackson would be a good venue for a lower tier bowl for sure. It would be really nice to have a bowl game in MS somewhere.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but what stadium improvements are happening in Oxford?

And your question is the dumbest question I've heard in a while.

When is Ole Miss improving their stadium? The best thing for y'all to do is blow it up and start over. The grove is ok but the stadium is a dump. No consistency. It looks like an erector set project from hell.

They are supposed to be announcing preliminary plans for bowling in the other endzone in in the next few weeks.
