..making ignorant financial decisions like flying halfway across the Pacific to play in a bowl game that will end up costing more than the bowl payout.


If you want an example closer to home, it's like Stansbury flying out to California to play St. Marys or this season flying to Detroit to play a single game.


If schools like USM & MSU are going to constantly gripe about being poor, look in the mirror first. Display a little financial common sense & stop acting like the Federal Reserve funds your athletic dept.

I think they lost money after expenses ($200,000 loss?) on their previous bowl, and that was only to St. Petersburg, Florida, 600 miles away. They cost themselves $500k+ by beating Houston, and it's going to be another $500k going to Hawaii.
