I think Vandy’s punter / punt team was so scared of Iowa punt returner Wetjen that they “over-thunk” that punt by trying so hard to punt it away from Wetjen.

Can’t argue with that. As much as I loathe herkie, their style of play reminds me of Nebraska in the 80s and 90s where they were just more physical than their opponents. I wish that was still our identity.
