This is what we WANT. A competent coach that other people want. Look at the attention that we're getting. If/when Dan leaves, there are some other good coaches out there thinking, "hmmm.....Mississippi State, that's a place I could win at. Jackie Sherrill won there, and Dan Mullen is winning there, it must be a good program."
It also means that a new coach that comes in won't have to try to rebuild because they are taking over a New Year's Bowl caliber team. That means that we have talent.
I know that Michigan is down, but if we beat them, it's going to make some people notice.
