if Newton was at MSU, MSU would be playing Oregon for National title. Everyone on panel agreed. Wow. Two things I thought Id never hear in same sentence. MSU/National Title.

That kind of pub beats the hell out of no pub at all. Hearing Dan Mullen's name on ESPN over and over can only improve our national image.

This is what we WANT. A competent coach that other people want. Look at the attention that we're getting. If/when Dan leaves, there are some other good coaches out there thinking, "hmmm.....Mississippi State, that's a place I could win at. Jackie Sherrill won there, and Dan Mullen is winning there, it must be a good program."

It also means that a new coach that comes in won't have to try to rebuild because they are taking over a New Year's Bowl caliber team. That means that we have talent.

I know that Michigan is down, but if we beat them, it's going to make some people notice.
