Teams in bowl games that the 2019 WVU team would beat:


Kent State


Alcorn State


North Carolina A&T


Central Michigan


Liberty


Appalachian State


(let them schedule WVU in Morgantown and you’ll see that I am right)


Marshall


Louisiana Tech


Eastern Michigan


Pitt


Temple


Western Kentucky


Western Michigan


Kansas State (again!)


Cincinnati


Ohio University


Southern Mississippi


Louisiana Lafayette


Miami of Ohio




WVU doesn’t belong in a bowl game. Neither do these teams. The bowls have gone so low to pick teams that they have games that I wouldn’t watch if they were regular season games.


Maybe Doege can get WVU into a high enough bowl game in 2020 that we’re not embarrassed to accept the invitation.

Those teams all earned a spot in a bowl with WINS--at least 6 of them. Brown and co. did not. The one or two teams (K State) Brown beat on the list had better overall records and the game could have gone either way vs. WVU.

It would simplify things to have a winning record to qualify for a bowl, 7-5 and better. However, the bowls and the conferences they're tied to at the hip to aren't about let that happen.

Technically, your statement insinuates coal miners are lower class. I, too, am the son of a coal miner - and grandson, and nephew, and cousin. Your statement basically reads: “I come from the lowest of the low, so I have no room to look down at anyone else,” which contradicts your point because to assume - whether intentional or not - coal miners are lower class, is to look down on them.
