If KU gets a one seed I will lose my mind. Everyone talks so highly about their conference, yet KU has won outright or shared the conference championship for ten years straight. Can you imagine SEC football being considered the greatest in the country yet only Bama winning it every year? Shirley one other team is consistently good enough during the year to win the conference.

Their conference is good and likely one of the hardest, but it ain't murderer's row like they claim. KU has 7 damn losses. Not a one seed.

Who should be the 4th 1 seed?
Nova? Hell no.
Michigan?
Duke?
UVA?

I just dont see any of them being more impressive than KU.

As for the Big12, man that is a tough conference. There is just so much parity.

Villanova who beat KU earlier this year and who has only lost to Syracuse and Creighton.

Nova is very good on D, from the few games Ive seen.
Otherwise, I just havent seen them enough to know. Ive seen 4 games, I think. Cuse, Iowa, and Creighton twice.

Maybe thats a big part of the problem- they just arent on primetime anymore. Not being part of the old BigEast has kept them the TV a lot.
Meanwhile, I have seen KU a ton and know what they have as a team.

No chance for an at-large berth as they're 89th in RPI and tied for sixth in a terrible SEC. They have to win the conference tournament for the auto-bid.

Yeah KU stays on TV here for sure. I watched a good bit of Nova this season, including that KU game. They may not have as strong of guard play as KU offensively, but they are ridiculous on D. I think the tournament these days lends itself to a strong, disciplined defense because so many of the powerhouse teams lack senior leadership. It just seems like the younger teams (with one and done happening often) don't handle adversity very well. A great defense is really frustrating.

Some commentators were talking about this over the weekend on ESPN and I for once agreed.
