Bracky Brett is just doing his due dilligence. Why can't anyone understand that?
He is Mississippi State's compliance officer. His job is to keep us out of trouble with the NCAA. When the NCAA performs and investigation, it sees how far up the Athletic Department food chain that rules were broken or people were looking the other way. What his email does is give the Athletic Department cover, whether they ever get to talk to Coach34 or not. If, one day, Stans does get in trouble and the NCAA starts asking the Athletic Department the types of questions that, if answered inadequately, might lead to a "lack of institutional control" violation, the compliance folks can point to this instance as an example of really trying to figure out what was going on. Otherwise, the NCAA says they have message board posts from the second most popular MSU message board that are disclosing instances of cheating. Why did MSU not look into it? If Bracky Brett is not chasing this rabbit as far down the hole as he possibly can, he's not doing his job.
