Celtics are good because Stevens is great.I'm not an NBA watcher.
But caught something on ESPN today that said Boston had won 9 of their last 10 games, and were a 3 seed in the playoffs as of right now.
So just how good are the Celtics and how good of a pro coach is Stevens?

Great coach. Guys like Haralabob love him. The roster is probably a bit underrated. It's deep and versatile (lots of 2-4s), just lacking shot creators and another rim protector. They're in perfect position to make a 4 for 1 type of trade for a star (and have the draft picks to boot). Ainge has done a nice job of creating value in small moves. Jae Crowder >>> Rondo and he got a 1st. Zeller and a pick for renting cap space. They might not get the star they need, but they've done a really good job building that team up and down the organization.
Teams will give up a young star when they realize he isn't going to resign.^ Interesting. Horford is terrific and probably undervalued, but he's also aging. But who's giving up a young star? Sacramento won't even discuss a Cousins deal, and if Blake's off the table that leaves ... ?
6th actually, but also 0 games behind Memphis who is in 5th (although Memphis has a slightly better winning % at .577 compared to Boston's .574) who just lost Marc Gasol for what appears to be the season.Stevens looks like he proved his worth. But it IS still the East, and while it's getting better, the Celtics would be like 7th in the West right now.
He's about to inherit an embarrassment of riches with those draft picks though. He should send a few gift baskets over to the Barclay's center.
funny how the celtics somehow managed to get a win out losing both their championship winning coach and championship winning team. sucky that doc rivers cant do the same for us clippers fans.
Always thought he'd be a good replacement for Cal when he decides to ride off into the sunset. If any college could lure him from Boston, it might be Ky.. but I wouldn't like our chances.
I live in Southern Indiana and heard this a lot last year. I kept telling people he was winning games with a roster full of no names and has been in Boston, and they have 5 or 6 1st round picks in the next 3 years and a ton of salary cap room. He isn't coming to IU.He's so good he'll never coach IU.
Take me through the process of how you became Clippers fan.
I had never met one until a few years ago.
