Yeah. At this point, I trust Polacheck about as much as Mexican tap water. For an insider, he plays loose and fast with his prognostications.

So, I gotta admit…I had to reread your post because when I initially just read Mexican tap water combined with plays fast and loose, I thought, “that sounds terrible!”

Then I realized you weren’t wishing THAT experience ON the players…😂🤣

Makes me think of Bobby Hurley…

Did I somehow miss Pope being named coach of Purdue?
Rumor was/is that Smith was interested in UK. My point was Purdue played him a ton of minutes. Would Pope do the same? That was the question.

Pope likes rotations and playing guys in 5-8 minute spurts. So I could see his minutes being cut to the 25-28 minutes. Bigger games he could go longer. But that’s just how Pope works. Butler took a cut in minutes played to come here. I’m still of the mindset that the “rumors” are just leverage for a max NIL deal at Purdue. Hope I’m proven wrong.

Hopefully our staff can close on some elite of the elite this time around.

You'd think with all the NIL we're rumored to have, we'll actually get some guys like Dent or Lanier eventually.
I wonder about these rumors. Do we really have more rich alumni than any other school?

Very fair. He pretty said we had Dent now KSR is in damage control today lol.

There are some other's saying we're in on Smith if he portals. Apparently Smith and Pope share an agent.

Apparently we have almost none the way people talk around here. It’s always woe is us, we can’t compete with the big boys for NIL.
This.

Here are my favorite narratives:

1. We are just a poor state that can't afford elite talent. Yes, Louisville can afford them, being just one little blip on the screen of the whole state. But as for the whole state with its massive multi-million fan base? Not a chance.

2. Nike doesn't favor us like they do Duke. Evidently all the Nike schools are okay with standing by and watching as Duke gets all the favoritism from Nike's NIL.

3. We just can't compete with metropolitan areas and what they can offer players to come to programs that no one cares about.

4. We're relegated to playing moneyball every year in the portal. We're essentially the Oakland A's of college basketball.

We don’t and won’t have an Edey level talent carrying UK next year. Edey is what got them there!
Dude, they were a last second shot away from beating Houston last night and going to the E8 after going to the title game last year and he was the B10 POY this year.

If it helps, Purdue is a B1G NIL bottom feeder, an all around poor *** school.

I believe the equivalent in the SEC is Miss. St

That’s a seriously weak response and dude is an AA. You would be insane not to take him if given the chance. I can’t believe it’s a discussion.
I was simply responding to the statement that he played in national championship game last year. That alone does not show he’s a great player.
