Brando has been stirring the race pot all day today. Also, why is it ok for 60% of the players to be black and it is an issue when 2% of the coaches are black? How many white head coaches are there in the SWAC? Why doesnt anyone ever do a major story on race in the player ranks in the NBA or NFL? The truth of the matter is that big time schools want to win. The fans dont give a **** what color their coach is or how he/she wins. They want to see Ws on the board.

Brando just mentioned the Kiffen hire at UT and that Randy Shannon was a better candidate and had no access to the "process". I would agree on that one example and say that UT is taking a huge gamble with Kiffen. I also agree that minorities need equal access to the jobs (Im not saying they dont already have it). On the flip side, Ole Miss and Alabama got an "F" grade from the BCA for the hires of Saban and Nutt because they didnt give interviews to black candidates. Also, has anyone ever looked to see the national break down of coaching degrees in the US by race? Therein may lie the problem.

He kept saying there were only 2 black head coaches in Div. 1-A. I wonder which one of Turner Gill, Kevin Sumlin and Randy Shannon doesn't have a job and just doesn't know it.

that said, can you blame colleges for not hiring black head coaches? It's much easier to hear the press call them "racist" whenever they hire a white head coach, than deal with the headaches that come along with firing one no matter what the reason. I think Louisville caught hell from the media for firing Ron Cooper.

Here's a novel idea: quit sucking *** at coaching college football and maybe you'll be around longer. Maybe if K-State's coach, Croom and Willingham didn't suck, they'd still be coaching at their respective schools.

Which makes it even more obvious why nobody should listen to a damn word Tim Brando says.

Shannon (Miami). Sumlin (Houston). Gill (Buffalo). Unless one of those three isn't actually black, or one of those three has lost their job and only Tim Brando is aware of it, then Timmy B needs to shut the F up and quit trying to stir ****. Oh, and also quit impersonating Keith Jackson, Frank Broyles, or anyone else.

It's pretty sad when Spencer Tillman is the smarter of the two people sitting at that desk.
