I was at the game and didn't focus on the individual players but did see Mix take out the left side of the Brandon Dline on the first long touchdown run by Henderson. As far as Adams, I've seen him play several games this year and for a sophomore defensive lineman in 6A football-he's very good. We need to stay on him and hope we have a shot at him when he's a senior!Mix looked like ****. He'll fit right in, especially if he is able to stay hurt 75% of the time. The Adams kid for Brandon was totally ineffective.
Mix is a project. I thought everyone understood that. He's got the size, but needs some coaching and aggression drilled into him. If you can successfully do that, he's got a high ceiling...
Very unimpressed with Deon Mix thus far tonight. What are your thought?
I had a referee in North MS tell me that Deon Mix was the biggest Candy *** he has ever seen and he has been a ref for a long time. He didn't know he was a State commit and was surprised. Reffed his games a few times this year and said he was always whining about being pinched and poked under the pile. He told him to quit being a Candy ***. So I would say he is definitely a project.
