A lead against the Phillies is never safe. But we came out, put up some runs, and now we need to finish this game off and hope for a Padres loss. The way this team played the last month they had no business making the playoffs. But they may find a way to squeak in, and then all bets are off once the playoffs begin.

By blowing a huge lead with boneheaded pitching selections.

Venters has not been good all month. Leave it to Bobby to have not noticed. Though he actually called in Wagner for the 4 out save. He almost never is smart enough for that. Was probably planning on calling in Chavez, then when he was informed he was released months ago for sucking (and constantly being used by Bobby), he panicked and went with Wagner by default.

look at the roster. bobby has this team poised to be in the playoffs (hopefully the giants hang on and win) and nobody on this team would be considered top tier at their position rite now except for mccann. the bullpen has been a strength all year BECAUSE of the way bobby uses it.

hall of fame third basemen chipper-out
all star second basemen and top ten in batting prado- out
number two starter jurrjens- out
not to mention big injuries to heyward and glaus, andthe season long sucking of mclouth and kawakami.

noboby on the team right now is doing a ton but bobby is managing them to a playoff run. it's not hard to manage your team to score 7 a game and play for the three run homer. it takes much more to manage a team when pitching is it's strength and thats what cox has done his entire career. you're a dubmass
