Well I think this is better than the alternative which was have an unproven Kawakami ( and I mean against MLB hitters) at the 3, and piece together 4 and 5 with Campillo, Jo Jo Reyes, Charlie Morton, or an injured Tom Glavine. Having Lowe at the 2 puts less pressure on a young Jurrjens, gives Kawakami the chance to not have as much pressure coming to the MLB at the 4 spot against relatively spotty competition from other clubs number 4 guy, and now we have multiple options for the 5 spot. Glad Wren went out and got Lowe, although I do think we paid a little too much for his services. But definately glad we got a fairly solid number 2 starter.
