Braves Thread: As if the Mets needed help, thanks umps!

I have never seen a team walk in as many runs as we have. I think thats the 5th or 6th run weve walked in this year. Cant afford to lose inter-divisional games like this when you have a lead the entire game. The Braves bullpen reminds me alot of our bullpen at MSU. Lots of guys who cant throw strikes, and when the do they are out over the plate where guys can get extension and crush the ball. Other than Soriano and Gonzo, I trust no one in the bullpen, including Moylan. Im glad we have innings eaters like Lowe, Kawakami, Jurrjens, and Vazquez because if we had to rely on our bullpen more than we already do, we would have about 3 or 4 more losses.
There is no way in hell that game should have gone into extras. I thought watching it live we got Beltran. The replay only confirmed my initial thought. Seriously, you're right there looking at it, so how do you miss that call? Ridiculous. The bullpen has been pretty good this season and should only improve. If the offense can ever figure out how to score on a day in, day out basis instead of scoring 10 runs today then 4 runs total the rest of the week, we'll be just fine. Of course, I'd like to see us flop Schafer & KJ in the order and run more. Schafer can bring some big speed and base stealing ability to the top of the order. Of course, that's assuming Cox will actually let us run. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching MState with Polk coaching with our complete failure to use the speed game and short game. I love him to death, but Cox should be managing an AL club. Speed, baserunning, and bunting are about to become a hell of a lot more prevalent, especially in the NL, now that MLB is testing for PEDs and trying to clean up the game. The unwillingness to use what speed we do have is killing the offense. Looking at the lineup, I think we have 3 guys potentially capable of stealing 15 or more bases in a year: Schafer, KJ, and French. I don't think French will ever be a base stealing threat because of where he bats in the lineup, though.
