In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the Indians Braves have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar into first place.

Today was a great game. Maholm pitched good, but the Braves still won. Why is it that the Pirates trade away all their young talent except Maholm? That franchise is garbage and I wish Paul could get out of there.

just signed a long term contract with them recently. If I'm right, he's probably the least tradable of their pitchers. Hopefully, his loyalty to them will pay off soon.

The Pirates and the Royals are the two worst franchises at "hoping that there would be a salary cap at some point". Unfortunatly for them, the Twins and A's and others have proven that small market teams can win consistently, and they are now late in the game at following their model.

As far as the Braves, as an outsider, I don't see how they can possibly keep running Kawakami out there. 0-7?

MLB attendance as a whole is suffering, but I think the Braves have had some great crowds so far this year. They aren't going to back in 50k, but fan interest has definitely picked back up thanks to Jason Heyward.

he was getting 1.7 runs from the Braves offense on average. But yes, as misleading as a win loss record can be for a pitcher, 0-7 is terrible and when Jurrjens gets healthyKawikami might lose his spot in the rotation. One thing that surprised me is he has the fourth highest salary on the Braves roster, which is over 7 million. He had a nice hit today though.
