These are position coaches. Did the WRs do better this year compared to the previous? Did the LBs? The answer is a resounding yes. It isn't even up for debate.

As a result, NU had to start both a true freshman (Dedrick Young) and a walk-on (Chris Weber).
“He’s done a great job,” Weber said in a mid-October story on Bray, which focused on the coach’s non-stop motor and high standards for energy and punctuality.
“If you expect them to come with enthusiasm and energy, then you have to come out to do the same,” Bray said in that story. “That’s a big part of what I try to do — have energy, have enthusiasm — so it rubs off on them.”

The Huskers lost out on one of their top receiving targets Monday when Waterford (Michigan) Mott wideout Desmond Fitzpatrick committed to Louisville. A four-star prospect, Fitzpatrick had been widely considered to be a Nebraska lean — to the point of being a “silent commit” — before taking one final visit to Louisville, which Fitzpatrick had been committed to for months before decommitting.
Fitzpatrick announced his decision via video on Bleacher Report. In it, Fitzpatrick catches footballs from various sources — usually off camera — before catching a phone, talking to a fictional coach and finally holding up a football with a Louisville logo on it.
NU still has two receivers in the 2016 class. One, Stockton (California) McNair slot Derrion Grim, is already enrolled. Another, Eden Prairie (Minnesota) slot JD Spielman, arrives in June. Yep, pretty sure this puts coach Williams in the top 3 of WR coaches pay. There may be some higher than him that carry another title or duties with their respective team but I'm pretty sure strictly talking WR coach, he's in the top 3 now.
Good! With Williams son transferring here and the pay raise, hopefully that means he stays for as many years as Riley does...and then some!

This has not been my experience with posters. I believe many posters believe NU will spend top $ on assistant coaches. How can one think any different with the money Reed makes? We just believe the money is wasted. But it's dam good to see the 2 best and brightest finally being paid too. Hope these 2 stay in Lincoln for a long time.

So much for supposedly needing to go out and hire a "lightening rod" recruiter from some body else's staff. It would seem that we already have a couple that are damned good coaches as well.
