I really didn't think we had much chance to get this one the way the roster was already so loaded.
Now the only question is whether or not Zach Tow is good enough to be our 15th man. Just kidding. You got this, Zach.

"They’re telling me to come in with the mindset to play. Don’t come in thinking I’m not gonna play,” Hawthorne said. “If I come in and do what I have to do and keep getting better, I feel like I have a chance. If not, I’m gonna keep supporting my team, put my head down, keep working and preparing myself for the next year.”"

Eh, I think he is A LOT better than 33.

Edit: This isn’t your typical college team. You either bring your A game to practice everyday or you’re gonna get embarrassed on the floor. I don’t know where Pope is gonna find enough minutes for everyone if JQ is ready at the beginning unless he runs the wheels off this beast. Not my problem to figure out but I’m sure gonna enjoy the show.

Can you imagine if Pope gets a championship this coming year? He will have a very long career to get number 2 and if he does man he would be passing some really really good coaches on the Kentucky coaching totem pole.
Let’s all hope he gets one this quick, that would be amazing.

Welcome to Kentucky. I don’t really get why he is coming here. He would get all the mins he wants at Pitt or WVA
This just is an embarrassment of riches now, if you ask me.

This is the successful future staring at us in the face ! I love the developmental theme Pope has with the chemistry of putting such an enormously talented roster together, but having it setup with multi-year and multi-tiered players in multiple roles.

It's going to be interesting to see if it doesn't make for some strange lineups sometime during the year, with so many given combinations now. Crazy. He would've started at Pitt or the mountaineers...... Gotta love it.

Can't help see some similarities as HS seniors between these 2. Their build, the way they move, etc.

I can see some similarities as Jayden was a kinda late riser but he was always thought of as a top 5 type talent that was raw. I think Braydon has a lot of similar traits and is kinda like Brandon Ingram as well.

He probably needs to beat one of Chandler or Kam to be in rotation

If he actually does it, we will be extremely good
Gonna be tonight to do, a lot of people think Kam may be the best NBA prospect and Chandler looks ready to break out this year the way his year ended last year.

He’s legit building a Pitino style roster. Deep with a lot of interchangeable pieces. If he gets the talent level even close to the top NBA talent Rick got after about 5 years Pope is gonna crush here.

I think you just answered your own question ... WV or Pitt ????
It sounded as if Don’tworryaboutit was actually upset he chose us🤣. I think it was an awesome long term pick up. Can you imagine pairing him and Thompson or him and Stokes together in year 2, especially if he adds 20 lbs and knows Pope’s offense.

Now I am not sure if we will get a SF in 26 class

Assume Kam stays, and Hawthorne is good enough in year 2, seems that we have no more room in this position

I think you are right.

Even if Williams leaves, I think Pope will go the portal route to replace him.

I think Hawthorne took the spot that Thompson or Stokes would have gotten.

Though, if they still want to come, I think Pope takes them.

That’s a kid who knows what it takes to be great and will succeed

Pope is thinking ahead wanting to win big every year and the only way to do that EVERY roster has to have plenty of quality and experience coming back every year. Will take a lot of top players on the roster non stop to achieve the domination he dreams of over an extended period.
