It should be noted that there is different in his previous post about VT ("notcommited"), so if he already comes here?

Looks solid 6-8How tall is he? He's a bit of a bean pole.
Always liked the 6-8 kids that needed time to get stronger and grow as a player. It is even MORE crucial now that Coach Pope is here. Didn’t get to see that much under Cal, but Coach Pitino was AWESOME at it.there is always tall skinny players who are pretty solid on defense and good at shooting. I'd take him and say lets roll. Auburn had a couple this year, Carolina always seems to get these kids too.
For now. There'll likely be some more portal additions over the next five days and whenever a coach leaves a school. We could also get a guy who initially declared for the draft and entered the portal as well.So three Euro's, Watkins, Eaglestaff and Hawthorne in the mix for the last three scholarships?
For 50 cents a day you could feed this kid![]()
The Auburn guys were 25 and still tall and skinny lol. This kid is highly unlikely to help this year, if wants to come sit that's fine.there is always tall skinny players who are pretty solid on defense and good at shooting. I'd take him and say lets roll. Auburn had a couple this year, Carolina always seems to get these kids too.
Is this kid any good? Never heard of him.So three Euro's, Watkins, Eaglestaff and Hawthorne in the mix for the last three scholarships?
In the long run, he is probably better than all but maybe Dame.Is this kid any good? Never heard of him.
He may not have the option to commit openly right away, Pope may want to reel in his bigger fish before stacking the roster further. So he using the image of Pope, Reed, Brea, Oweh , BBN. After that video if you don’t commit right the way, one will think you either a big teaser or you seeking attention to booster your negotiation position with other school.
If you put that jersey on and put up that great video up, yes the presentation is great, you should also commit and be ready to play! Then you will really feel the love of BBN and the goose bumps every time you step on the floor of Rupp arena.
Kentucky is special. If you are special, ink that UK offer paper and let’s go! Playing for a Kentucky is dream come true and trampoline to immortality, greatness and in many cases NBA.
His potential commitment does not influence the big fish at all because everyone thinks he will not play much if he comes hereHe may not have the option to commit openly right away, Pope may want to reel in his bigger fish before stacking the roster further.
Glad a scrolled to this. I was about to post he looked like a "Prince" of a player.Reminds me of Tayshaun Prince.
sweet, saves more for NILFor 50 cents a day you could feed this kid![]()
Imagine if he liftedI have to point out bulky size/strength is overrated in basketball especially with wings and guards.
Kevin Durant had the worst combine bench press in NBA history. Totally sunk his career.
Not good news
I doubt it. When I was young and skinny and still playing, I could and did eat a crazy amount of food. Couldn’t gain a pound. Now, I’m way overweight and eat about a quarter of what I ate back then. I bet that skinny kid could make a buffet style restaurant lose money on his meal. For 50 cents a day you could feed this kid![]()
He could play way more minutes in VTWhy? Would we even want a player who can’t even make the right choice of VT or UK?
At this point the sheer numbers are scaring off dudes, it seems to me.His potential commitment does not influence the big fish at all because everyone thinks he will not play much if he comes here
I love Guards and Wings with size and wingspans like his. It sets up a great foundation for potential great defense. Everyone is tall with long arms. Block shots and disrupt good looks all over the court. If he puts on 20-30 pounds of muscle he will be a player.there is always tall skinny players who are pretty solid on defense and good at shooting. I'd take him and say lets roll. Auburn had a couple this year, Carolina always seems to get these kids too.
Even if he doesn’t commit this year, he is always a possible transfer for the next season or later on.At this point the sheer numbers are scaring off dudes, it seems to me.
True Pope is building a nice relationship with him right now.Even if he doesn’t commit this year, he is always a possible transfer for the next season or later on.
Fair point.I have to point out bulky size/strength is overrated in basketball especially with wings and guards.

100%.Love the length and versatility. Wouldn’t mind to have him on the roster to develop. Could be really good down the road.
The more length you have for the position you are playing, the less important strength is, especially in a 5 out offense. At least that holds true until you play someone who also has length and strength. I think Hawthorne could be a contributor this year behind Williams and a significant piece in year 2.Fair point.
I don't think you necessarily have to bench a ton. I do think your actual weight being too light can be detrimental. Durant was 200 lbs coming out of high school at 6'9 (going by 247 data). Hawthorne is 175 at an inch shorter.
For comparison, Lowe at PG is also 175 lbs. I worry that against grown men in the SEC, he's not going to be able to hold his ground year 1. Which is totally fine. If he comes here, I'm confident we view him as a project.
TL;DR: Agree you don't have to be a monster in the weight room, but think he's going to have to bulk up to battle in the SEC.
