be an incredible hire and probably the best we could pull off. The perception that MSU is an impossible/bad/dead end job will keep the Pattersons, Pettersens, and Kellys of the world from taking the job. They are not going to risk the big time job they see in their future. They intend to just bid their time until a position in a big time established program comes along. Tub is proven and I imagine that he will come in mad as hell with a chip on his shoulder. That said I will still be surprised if he is the next MSU coach.
My husband was in a meeting yesterday with several big donors and they were saying that Ears badly wanted out at Auburn. He told Greg Byrne that he would have to have 100% control over anything that involved football. He also said he would have to release at least 2/3 of the present team. He said to give him 2 seasons and by the 3rd he would have us in the top half of the SEC. My husband usually does not repeat gossip or rumor, so for him to tell me to get ready for it(as I fell out on the floor screaming) it had to have come from a well placed source. I called his secretary to find out who was in the meeting but she would not tell me a thing. I'll tell my husband she needs to be fired.
They have not reported it as fact or with any confirmed source. They are saying it is, and I quote, "scuttlebutt."*

Called my husband again to confirm what he said. He said he told me last night the announcement was being planned for Thurs. or Fri. They told him that it was a done deal with both sides in agreement to the aforementioned conditions and I am sure $$ yesterday afternoon. Just posting what has to be a credible source or My hubby would not have said a word. Of course he did enjoy the peace and quiet after I stopped screaming and just was in shock for the rest of the night. Maybe that was his plan all along. Tell her a total made up story and after 5 minutes of noise, watch T.V. in peace for the rest of the night. DAMN HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
