[PositivePete]

Granted hardship waiver for playing for Bill Self. Eligible for 39th season in 2016-17.

If you read some of the Kansas boards, they are slamming him hard for not showing up. One guy said his German draft stock is dropping.

If you don't mind, could you paste some of the comments? Don't even know how to find their free boards.

Just google Kansas basketball forums. They are 3 or 4. I don't post just read. Some of it is hilarious just like here on occasion.

[spotter34]

Come on Notre Dame and UVA. If they win I may actually watch the final four.

I like this one I found:

"2-6 in the Elite 8, and he's had the higher seed 6 of the 8, can we stop pretending that's not a thing?

[The_Catfather]

Whew. 4 points, 5 boards. I didn't know it was that bad until I looked it up. I can feel their pain, we saw that a lot out of our frontcourt starters.

[Thompkins4uk]

Similar to WCS against Wisky last year or Poythress/Skal/Lee half of his games this year. Hope SKJ/Bam/Gabriel/Bolden don't sit close to Lee in the locker room next year (if Lee stays).

[KevininLoveland]

Cal wanted this guy bad.

They change his name to Willy Ellis and send him to Self's weaver.

[sambowieshin_rivals]

Tough to lose on the same night you turn the big five oh.
But at least he can use his AARP card for a discount at breakfast tomorrow morning.

Cal wanted this guy bad.

And settled for WCS instead.

[GnarlsBarkley]

I thought he would forgo the NBA draft and just show up Monday morning at the Spurs offices and just try to blend in. I don't think anyone would notice

[YouKay]

Season low 4 points for the big guy.

Gotta hand it to Jay Wright, he knew Kansas' guards were not gonna beat him but Ellis could.

[Xception]

Willie was just as enigmatic , you never knew if he would show up .

Willie was and still is light years better defensively than Ellis.

He was the DPOY, 1st team AA, and #6 pick he may have been inconsistent but he was either very good or exceptional. Rarely did he completely no-show. Unfortunately he was a no-show against Wisconsin.

[Wall2Boogie]

Yeah he took a year off for nam so he will get another 6 years eligibility. I am loving the heavy favorite lost! How's it taste Kansas? Lol

You, sir, are most talented...and quite the wit!!! Please keep it up!!!

It's funny that even the CBS crew was in on the joke. Tough to have a receding hairline at 22.
