More breaking news: it's not gonna stop
When we beat auburn on Saturday. Then it will be "Mullen is only 1-12 against SECW opponents not named ole miss". Then when we beat A&M, it will be "yeah, but Mullen hasn't beaten one of the big 3". Then, when we beat Arkansas it will be "well he can't compete with LSU and Alabama". We are lowly MSU in some people's eyes and that will never change. UM and USM get their rocks off on what we haven't done in order to minimize what we have done. It's a childish and asinine tactic, but it's what they do and it's not going away. The best thing for us to do is ignore that meaningless stat and stop legitimizing it by reacting to it.

ridiculous thing is that people making this statement are basically making fun of us for, what, not being a top 10 team? Hell, has even anyone on gene's page even claimed we were? I fairly confident in saying that 99.9% of message board dog posters probably see us in the 30 range. When you take into account where we were before Dan, that is 17ing fantastic.
