Ah yes, it has nothing to do with defending anyone or anything, It is just the realism that Nebraska football isn't what you and others think it is on a national scale. This is who Nebraska is right now. This is about the level of coach Nebraska can get and these are about the level of football transfer they will attract in the portal.

Actually writing on a message board that you could run an athletic department in your sleep because you may have, (or may not have), negotiated a military contract once is hysterical.
Sounds like a loser's mentality you have there. I like to maintain a positive outlook that the Huskers will make a playoff appearance in this decade.

Great. I will hope they do. I choose to live in the real world where Nebraska has won 38 games in 8 season. and 57 games since Bo Pelini was roaming the sidelines in his piss filled khakis, fling hats toward officials. That was 11 seasons ago. Averaging 5 wins per season isn't getting Nebraska a high profile coach and probably not many high profile transfers. You may get a high school kid or 2, but they will transfer out before you get a chance to utilize them at their fullest potential. Perhaps with this huge windfall you have coming, where you are going to buyout On3 and have me banned, you could use it to buy out Rhule, hire a new coach, and make yourself AD, where you could sleep all day and still run the department.

Keep thinking like a loser. I would never buy out Rhule at his current buyout figure. Make it <$50 million and give me full control of the AD, sure I'll make it happen.

I am not in the building. What I think doesn't mean anything, it has no effect on the success of Rhule, his staff or the football program as a whole. I can believe Rhule is the man that is going to turn it around or that if Nebraska fires Rhule and hires someone else that he will be the guy that turns it around.

I have cheered for Nebraska every game since basically birth. Since Bo Pelini left I have rooted and wore my Husker gear, watched most every game, spent money to come from Texas to watch many games in person. It still has no effect on the play on the field. I have even tried sitting at a different spot on the couch, still hasn't changed the results. Strange, I know.

No matter how much I hope Rhule makes a different decision, or how much I want the athletic department to do better, my hope and desires have no impact. So by me pointing out that Nebraska has only won 5 games per year since 2014, and they are not in the position they were 11 seasons ago, and that this job is not as attractive as it was in 1997, 2004, 2007, 2015, 2018 or even 2022. It has no impact on why 16-18 year old kids have no idea that Nebraska used to be good. Hell, some of their parents barely have memories of Nebraska winning national titles or even conference championships. Not anything my thoughts control.

If you have the magic thoughts that are going to turn it around, by all means think away and get it done.

Some have always been stuck on the idea of the magic coach and have magical thoughts on who it should be. Like magic coaches are on the shelf at a store or something. NU has fired two coaches with strong winning records in the hopes that the next one would win even more than the two who won more than 70% of their games.

So true. I’ve switched Gameday superstitions too lol. Nothing has worked

Trying to rebuild a forgotten program that’s been in the gutter since Pelini is tough. We’re now at a stage where grandparents are the only ones that lived through the glory years. People outside of Nebraska don’t care or remember. Only way to become relevant is to win. Easier said than done

What's the point in even posting this? I'm not discussing thoughts, I have always been about action, and the Nebraska fanbase won't be satisfied until they see actionable results that lead to success.

What actions more than I wrote, can I do to stop "loser thinking" that will have any effect on Rhule, Holgersen, Nebraska football players individually or as a whole?

Loser thinking leads to loser actionable results, and the NU administration has been infested with both.

Again, I do not speak to Matt Rhule, I do not talk to anyone within the athletic department. My thoughts and my opinions do not have any effect on how the department, or team , or Rhule does things. Perhaps your fictional millions have more influence than mine. If so, good on you.

I will be interested to see what Geep brings to the table. I can never remember what Geep's last name is.

Mostly interested to see if he and Tinsley can get develop Sledge, Brix, Peters, Pyle, Taumua, Hammerbeck and Marks. Different technique than Raiola taught. Raiola's hand technique appeared to be more technical and precise as opposed to what other coaches teach.
I heard at one point that Donovan was teaching them to use more of a backwards step on a lot of run play situations too. A lot of guys were struggling with the footwork.

Sometimes the change of narrative on the forum is fun. It wasn't 2 or 3 years ago that the when the topic of offensive line came up, it was you can't expect these young guys to compete against Big Ten defenses. Now it is like if you are not starting on the OLine by your 2nd year it is a failure and you need to be processed.
It's a fixed mindset mentality. Whatever a guy shows in their first time on the field is all that they ever will be.

Actionable results that lead to success? What the hell are you talking about? If there's one thing Nebraska has had is actionable results. Why do you just say that you aren't going to be satisfied until we win a national championship. Forget the other ****.

It's the equivalent of a fat woman walking into a bar thinking that she can get any guy she wants.
