On when he'll announce his commitment:
"My plan is to commit on my brother's birthday, July 31. I'm going to take it until then. My brother passed away four years before I was born. Our birthdays are four days apart, that's why I wear the number 44. He means a lot to me because my mom says I resemble him a lot, and I act just like him. So I'm going to make this dedicated to him."
On returning to Nebraska for the spring game:
"I'm looking forward to the fans. I miss them a lot. There are a few fans I've seen every time I've been there. ... Moreso, I would say I'm looking forward to meeting Coach (Bob) Diaco. I haven't met him in person yet. I'm looking forward to seeing Miss Dee, Coach Riley's wife. We have a great relationship; she's a great woman.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the guys. I haven't talked to any of the players in a while besides my old teammates. So I'm looking forward to just seeing the guys in the locker room, see how they interact with each other. There's nothing like Nebraska."
