I’m thinking that if we can keep MM and Jelly, have them rotate in and out and surround them with shooters. I’m a Hal Mummy guy, let’s out score them mentality.

In the portal from Liberty.

Kentucky born and raised - from Cecilia.

Two guard with two years remaining.

Fantastic outside shooter on volume.

Has all the makings of a likely UK commit.
Man, they’re like that not gonna get volume shots at Kentucky

Can we pick him up and cut Noah? Maybe he'd satisfy the need to have a Kentucky kid, but he'd actually be able to make a shot.

I live close to Mo State. Have seen him play a couple times as they're in the same conference. Dude can flat shoot it. Couldn't guard me, but he can definitely shoot.
Mo state as in Missouri state?

Here's the statistical book on him:

NOTE: Asia Boone on KY women's team transferred in from Liberty and she could definitely stroke the rock !!

Literally the second ranked 3 point shooter in the country this year at 47%. Averaged about 17ppg playing for a pretty good Liberty team that won the CUSA regular season in pretty dominant fashion, although they did falter in late Feb and the post-season.

Agreed. We came here six years ago from suburban KC. Extremely nice area in KC, but just too big. This still has the small town feel but has everything you need and then some. We feel pretty fortunate and spoiled at times.
Yup agree on that.

Surprisingly decent amount of UK fans in Spfd as well. I run into Cat fans a fair amount of times through out the years.

Defense, from what I'm hearing online, is a no. Brea wasn't a great defender either, at least not at first. He was 6'7, though. This dude is 6'3.

50/47/85

Looks like he's a three point specialist and that's pretty much all he does.
Vaaks would be your Brea but Vaaks is slightly better defender than Brea and Decker would be Almonor but Almonor was better defensively

That sounds kinda naughty and Liberty University is a conservative, evangelical school.

Maybe she left Liberty for UK so that she could "stroke the rock."

I think Vaaks looks like a more dynamic scorer than Brea, meaning will drive and cut more, and he's a better passer. But I don't think I'm ready to agree that he's a better defender necessarily. And he's not a better shooter, then again let's be clear - who is? I'm not believing anybody is a better shooter than Brea unless I see it personally for a whole season. But I definitely like Vaaks as a kind of 2G/SF tweener.

Looks more like a spot up shooter. Pretty small and slow but shot looks great. Brea was much bigger with much better handles.

I just don't get the "defense is bad" thing, in that if you are marginally athletic, AND you put in the EFFORT, then you should be a decent defender.
I know it's a very different level, but when I played daily pickup games at work (had a nice indoor gym) I was probably the least athletic guy there, but I could guard most of the guys there (most of whom were better than me), because I put in effort on defense. And if I knew I couldn't stay in front of you with the ball, then I guarded you so close without the ball or took away the entry pass angles so that it didn't get passed to you. Now I know at the college level it's 1000 times better play, but conceptually it's the same game. Defense and rebounding are primarily EFFORT.

If you don't have the ability, all the effort in the world, won't keep you in front of a kid like Acuff.

Right, but if he's playing for a coach that doesn't push defensive principles, like a lot of mid majors do, that could explain why he's not a good individual defender. But he could be capable.

If you can get this guy on the cheap, I think you take him. Those shooting splits are really good.

Hahaha you are literally right next to me. We live in South spfd.

Great area to raise a family in.
I’m going to Lake of the Ozarks for a week of golf in 2 weeks any places around Springfield or Ozark area I should eat at or visit?
