Brian Bryant doesn't get talked about much, but

I thought he played a hell of a game for us last night. 12 points, 7 boards, and 2 assists. I really thought he was the key to the game.

going to be a very special player. That Hood guy looks pretty good too. The "Recuriter" has struck potential career saving gold.

But I did know that I kept thinking last night that I had no idea Bryant wasas good of a player as he was showing. Very solid game by him.

No problem with him getting minutes so long as he plays like he did last night. Very good game by him.

I think that Sidney is playing fewer minutes than some thought he would, but he ought to tune up as the seasongoes on. His effort was impressive. Loved how he simply took the basketball out of the hands of their big guy, twice.

Deville Smith is very impressive. Hood is very solid too with a nice looking pull up 15 footer. If we can play with our starting 5 plus D. Smith, Steele and Lewis, we should be able to beat some good teams.

Nice substitution patterns by Stansbury too. Glad he has this figured out prior to SEC play FOR A CHANGE! Rick needs to go back and watch film of our team in 1996 once Richard Williams got the hell out of Dontae Jones' way (halfway through the season???) and let them play. It is time for Rick to get out of the way and let this team play. Choking down the offense like he did 10 min into the game has cost us games in the past and will hurt us eventually. We have to do better there from a strategy standpoint, that is all I can see holding us back at this point.

If you're playing more than 8 players, you're playing too many. I wonder if this year he just used the Europe trip to work out the rotation or if he's changed his philosophy of using the Nov-Dec games as a preaseason before getting serious about winning games in January.

Getting Smith on the court seemed to make a big difference for our team bc of his quickness. That seemed to be missing vs Akron.

You have to let them run, especially when we are winning and increasing our lead over a team. The Stans Stall has lost too many games to count...

Okay, not really, but he is a shooting guard that can't shoot, and he fits the Stansbury "small PF" role to a T. He had some key rebounds (including a clutch board and put back), and we need that kind of energy from him. Plus, we have other guys that can shoot outside, so we need him making plays elsewhere.

I thought Steele played well at times last night. Hood is outstanding - I love that mid-range jumper - I just wish we had a coach that could draw up more stuff to utilize him. I REALLY like Wendell Lewis. He has improved every year, and though he doesn't have the skill set of Moultrie or Sidney, he gives it everything he's got.

Deville Smith is the difference maker this year. We saw how bad we were on offense with only Bost to make plays. Smith can make plays not only for himself, but for everyone else on the floor. When Bost is being held in check or having an off night, which is going to happen, Smith needs to step up, like he did last night. He's not scared to take it at the big guys and score or get fouled (or both). He is going to have some turnovers, but if he can keep those down, watch out.
